I like your analysis on the hand but I think its pretty close between check behind and bet $3-3.5.
One reason is I don't think we should discount a weak ace here at all. I see a lot of weak players...

I think I like a turn push. I think we get calls from two pairs, sets, and Ad hands from a fishy player and we aren't behind very often.
On the river I fold also because I don't think we're ahead...

On the last hand reraise to 3.5 pre. As played, fold to the push on the turn. There are lots of hands he can show up with that beat you and if hes decent you beat very little.
