Re: UPDATE on MGM vs MCC PLEASE

I haven't made it back down to MCC since the summer and was hoping the 15-30 was still running on Saturdays. Did this really drop down to 10-20 and does it ever run on Saturdays? Is it still going...

Re: home cash sidebets

Most of us pick cards (I take 6's). 1 pt for 1 card, card pairs 4 pts, 3 of the card is 10 pts and 4 is 20 pts. We do a quarter a point and it's rarely over $20 to the big winner of the night....

Re: NEW MGM IN DETROIT

Played there today.
Couple observations:
1) Casino is great! Beautiful, spacious, well thought out.
2) Card room blows! MCC is still the place, as mentioned above. I will say there is potential...

Re: Dealer error..

Whenever I've played Omaha 8/b in a casino almost all the dealers have dreaded coming to the table. It's just a confusing game for a lot of them to wrap their minds around. Often players can be...

Re: Motor City new room opens 6-6

Re: the 15/30 game.
played it 3 weeks ago -- one of the best games I've ever been in. During the transition week it didn't run. Not sure what time it started on Saturday, but when I got there @ 5...

Re: Motor City new game

They did have a 10-20 running the whole time. When our game broke I know they were talking with the floor about making it a 10-20 must move table (there were about 9-10 on the list + about 4 at the...

Re: Motor City new game

Got to play this today (Saturday). Game started around 12 but it did break around 4 or so. It was a great, great game. I hope that it stays a somewhat standard game. After having the joy of...

Re: Motor City new game

What time do you think this game may get up and going Saturday morning. I know I've gotten there around 11 and had a several hour wait while they got the tourney going before the lists started to...

Multiple Straddles

I've done a quick search and found a lot on straddles, and found the following scenario:
In Limit games, the straddle is the size of the big blind, e.g. 10-20: sb=5 bb=10 utg=20 utg+1=30 etc.
But...

Re: electronic tables

I just played one in Detroit for the first time this weekend (waiting for my live table to open). Saw that it encouraged even worse players than normal sitting down. Plus the rake was only $4 + bbj...

Re: Charity games with high rake & no c/r: Strat considerations?

I'm actually looking at doing (hosting) one of these on the east side of the state in the next month or two. A couple of questions for those who've played:
1) Was there a tournament in addition to...

Re: Michigan casinos

It seems that Sarnia (Point Edward Charity Casino) has been able to get a 20-40 game going somewhat regularly. Haven't played it, but they normally will have a 10-20 Thur-Sat with a 20-40 on either...

Karma or being a douche?

Sitting at 5/10 full kill Omaha hi/lo at Motor City, Detroit.
Not a bad game, though when I sat down the average age dropped by about 20 years on the table. Youngest was at least 50, most were...

Motor City o8

Has anybody played in the MotorCity o8 $5/$10 w/kill? I've seen the sheet on the counter advertising it on Saturday mornings but am curious if it actually runs. Any info would be greatly...

Re: Nit calls pit

I believe everybody at Point Edwards knows Roger -- and Jerry, well let's just say he is unmistakable. Both players are huge contributors to the 5-10 game, too bad we can't get them to play 10-20...

Taking a bet back?

I've never seen this and am wondering if this is not an uncommon practice:
Sitting at a 10-20 table at Soaring Eagle Casino in MI. The pot was 4-handed with a preflop raise. I've got KK and the...

Re: home poker stuff at target. -- clearance

The tabletop is actually really good. We've used various felts and other contraptions for our tabletops. The poker pad thing has been great -- no pulling of materials to one side, no pilling up of...

Re: Best 10/20 game in Detroit...

Made my first trip to Motorcity tonight. I've played at Greektown about a dozen times, and I normally do the 10/20 at Point Edward (Sarnia).
Got on the lists for the 10/20 and the 50-200. Started...

Re: Point Edward Charity Casino (Sarnia, Ontario)?

It's a nice little room, about 7 or 8 tables.
Stakes: $5-$10 is the norm. On the weekends they'll also get a $3-$6, a $10-$20 going and occasionally a $20-$40 game.
I'd give them a call to get...
