50NL, QQ overpair on wet board gets c/r

Villain is 40/7/1.65 over 40 hands.

Should we protect here or are we beat/racing against a big draw too often? (note stack sizes btw)

[50NL] TPTK gets overbet shoved into in 3-bet pot

Have to use a bit of an unconvential way to post my hand... only converter I can find that accepts the pokertracker HH format is pokerhand (pointers to other's that do are welcome), and I lost the...

Re: 100NL, TPGK versus aggro donk

Why are we shoving and not just calling his turn bet and calling any river? Won't villain fold weaker hands and only call our shove with better hands? When we're calling down he gets a chance to keep...

100NL, AK in 3-bet pot, line check + river decision

Villain is a 15/12/2 regular. How's my flop + turn line? I figured I'd check the flop behind since it's so super dry and I'm either way ahead or drawing dead, and he might pay me with JJ-KK once I've...

50NL, BB special gone wrong

Literally my first hand at the table, so no reads at all. I called his turn minbet-reraise planning to call any river bet. And then he overbets the river... now what?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em,...

100NL, quick question: JQo vs *really* short stack

This hand just came up. MP has 13BB and has limped. Normally I'd raise JQo on the button, but I wasn't really sure if I should do so now. This is because MP is probably going to call my raise...

Re: K high flush on 4flush board.

How about a c/c on the river again? Saves you money when you're up against the As and you can probably get some weaker hands to (semi)bluf. Or are we really missing out on a lot of value from weak...

Re: 100NL: AQo, ugly flop spot in 3-bet pot

Half the deck is not a safe turn card though? Shouldn't we protect our hand?

Edit: What do we do when we check behind, a blank hits, and he leads a decent amount?

100NL: AQo, ugly flop spot in 3-bet pot

Villain is 23/11/3 over 120 hands. No additional reads, he seems fairly solid. Comments on every decision welcome. I was kinda lost on the flop: I gotto protect my hand from spades/AK, but I'll...

Re: 50NL, lol donkbetaments

Thanks. I folded, but felt a little dirty inside for folding to a $2 bet in a $20 pot. When you think about it, it's the only option though indeed. Blowing off a stack trying to get a 60% vpip donk...

50NL, lol donkbetaments

Villain is 60/35/4.5 over 35 hands. 30% went to showdown. Villain tanked for a while before calling the flop. I think he's either on a draw, a monster, or Ax. He's not gonna fold any of them though,...

Thanks everyone! So I ran into QQ, just checking if it's as standard as I thought it was. Glad it is.

50NL, standard preflop problem?

Villain is 41/14/3 over ~50 hands, never seen him 3-bet before.
Given his short stack, is shoving this okay if we feel like gambling, or is it spew? If we're ever just calling this 3-bet instead,...

Re: Overpair to the board, Lets Play along

The river is an easy shove, pretty much the only hand he can possibly hold that beats you is a flopped straight. If he's holding that, just say "NH sir!" and move on. You're giving up TONS of value...

Re: 25NL- QQ, K on flop

I like it. c/c on the turn is fine since you've now picked up a FD that could be good when you hit, your hand might still be good anyway, and he bets so small. I'd fold to a bigger river bet, but...

50NL, AT on Axx vs short stack

Villain is 70/30/1 over 33 hands.

I'm checking the turn for pot control since I don't beat many Ax hands any more and I'll commit myself when I bet as he's relatively short stacked. Not so short...
