Re: a curious preflop idea: protecting the fish from other TAGs
Reraising your cards in the upper 50% of their range seems reasonable a bit to get them to tighten up.

I think he calls more with a medium pp preflop and is protecting a set on such a wet board. If preflop didn't have the same action I would call. I'm not wrong am I in my read?

Invites donk bet - fine; keeps pot the smallest - fine. You want to get to cheap show down - fine. Turn doesn't need protection since you may be behind already imo.

I think the turn raise needs the most attention, just call smallish river bet.

He has figured out you don't have a flush; AhK, flush, straight and lower trips are possible along with the nothing bluff. I think it's a very close fold.

Re: 50NL: Extraction with 99
He made a funny bet, make a note whether you get to show down or not. Draw likely, 2 pair less likely. Raise atleast $12 due to all the draws.

A call should do. The raise makes it less likely you are ahead.

Re: 5-10 PL - Flush hits on river and Villain bets it
I have run into some crazy "bluff" bets in live poker too. Until you see them play well, you have to call down these strange plays I think at this limit.

Re: $100 NL: Checking the turn for pot control
Well, the turn check is not for pot control or pot size control, it's because you are likely beat. Before raising on the flop you need to consider what you are trying to accomplish. You want the...

I recently started playing just 4 tables instead of 7-8. You can steal pots so much easier when you are able to pay attention to a table and this will increase your win rate dramatically per table. I...

I would say he has you beat 80+%. Fold without him having crazy aggression factors. I put him on Trip T or 8 most of the time at this level.

Re: Live 200 NL. Overpair in bloated pot vs morons; bad turn card
I think with the draws out there you need to make a bigger flop bet. It makes it a bigger mistake for them to call if you have little left if they hit. The pots big enough to take it down now....

Re: NL25 - KQs TP need help with flop
My view is that you would like to get all your money into the pot and you likely have the best hand, so you want at least 1 player to get their money in also. So smallish raise to $6 and bet the rest...

You are only a very small fav against the worst hand he might have - AK, and likely has you significantly beat, so fold.

Crazy bet $9. I think with the troule you went through to raise preflop, raise to $25 trying to get AQ, AJ to fold. Representing AK.

A pot bet is also good to represent a missed flush - as stated above. He probably has AK or AQ with a spade.

Re: 100NL flopped flush; how to extract on river?
Bet 1/2 to 3/4 pot depending on style and reads of Villian and yourself. Value and some pot control. Showing weakness here may cause him to overbet an inferior hand which may be too hard to call. ...
