If loose/aggro had shoved on the flop, would you call?

Yeah, I definitely would. I'm not folding an overpair for whats essentially a pot sized bet on anything...

Re: 200NL: KK flop decision

By the way, I was on the button -- I mistakenly said BB in the original post.

I 3bet here live. JT is in the range as well as AQ, KQ stuff. If loose passive #1 or loose/aggro 4bets or shoves though we might have a tough decision.

200NL: KK flop decision

1/2 NL live, 10-handed, at St. Louis Harrah's.

3 Villains in this hand are all loose old guys who play marginal hands, and take them too far. The one who raises on the flop is very aggro,...

200NL: KK line check when raised on 3-flush flop

Villain is 44/13/3 after about 30 hands. Haven't seen him do anything significant, except that he seems to be playing a lot of hands. I haven't done much since Villain joined the table.

Re: Excuse me while I vomit

I'm not crazy about playing this so passively against a good TAG (I would pretty often against a LAG). Puts you in a real difficult spot. I would rather show some more aggro preflop or on the flop...

ARRRRRR-IN.

Anything you do will show lots of strength, so you might as well shove now before a bad card hits the turn (like an ace if villain has KK).

Folding is obviously stupid.

500NL Live: Weak Trips facing heat

2/5 live at the Detroit MGM, 9-handed.

The table has been playing very loose preflop, with frequent large multiway pots. The maniacs at the table (not Villain) are also bad post-flop.

Hero has...

Re: 100nl crap turn, commited or not?

This is a mandatory bet IMO, given the stack sizes, and the fact that it will be hard for him to call you without a high flush card.

Re: AJ OOP

I like the way you played every street. Being nit-picky, I might make it $5 or $5.50 on the flop, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

However, not many villians will bluff this river as the success rate is so very low.

I don't agree with this assumption. I find that many players who c/r the flop and...

Re: NL 100 So i decided to make a stand.. really bad?

Bad time to take a stand. If you're going to do it, I would rather you 4-bet light pre-flop, making it about $35-$40 to go, folding to a shove.

I wouldn't do it on the flop, b/c any c/r with...

Re: AA 4-way with horrific flop.

Given the pot size, I'm assuming there are 4 to the flop.

That is a horrific flop. Check/folding is a valid option. Shoving is also a valid option, given the pot size and remaining stack...

Re: CR\'d on the flop holding a weak overpair 100NL on FTP

I don't mind the flop play b/c you're in position, and you might want to see what he does on the turn. That said, it's marginal b/c he's going to bet the turn often and a scare card is likely to...

<nit>Stop saying 4bet. Villain raised. He did not 3bet. If hero re-raises the flop, it's a 3bet. The progression is bet, raise, 3bet, 4bet, etc..</nit>
