Re: KQs UTG+2, every street debatable

Even though the raiser has you crushed preflop almost 100% of the time, I still think the preflop call is fine IF IF IF you know/suspect the flop will be 5+ players. The only way you know this is...

Re: Questions about 2xBB hour profit at Low-Limit hold\'em

Thank you all for the advice, what I plan on doing is grinding at the 2/4 game still until I have the bankroll for 4/8 or 5/10 which is offered at all the local casinos (WV).

Also I will be going...

Re: KQs UTG+2, every street debatable

Wow, trying to hit the backdoor flush here is going to cost you most likely at least 2 bets on the flop and 2 on the turn judging from preflop action. Also you could be (and were) drawing dead here...

Questions about 2xBB hour profit at Low-Limit hold\'em

First of all, let me state that I am/was mostly a NL player so I don't have a lot of experience at Limit HE. Also I understand variance plays a big role, and I have nowhere near a big enough sample...

I don't think you can put near 40% of your stack in here and then fold this when all low cards flop. Heck I hate folding here even if an Ace does flop just because of the pot. You have...

Re: LC: Primetime for sng\'s?

I've got no data, but it would seem to me that the late evening hours (keep in mind different time zones) would have the most recreational players. People that are home from work, school, done with...

Agree with the last couple of comments. Why risk it with a shove against maybe a PP or another race.

Re: Card Rooms vs. Internet

Has anyone noticed that there is a distinct different style of play on the internet vs. the local card rooms?

Recently I played at a card room, and I was allowed to limp in w/ KJ...

Call would be the stronger option, hoping he catches and you get paid off.

I don't think calling here is good, raising seems like the only way to get paid off an/or avoid...

Re: Preflop raise sizing question (part inspired by NLT&P)

I usually just do the 4x BB, plus increased for limpers, that's my tournament style anyways. The thing I was wonderng though if I ranged from 2-5 xBB, some opponents will "read" into that and use...

Preflop raise sizing question (part inspired by NLT&P)

Okay we play 1-3 cash games, and most nights I go in with a "standard" raise amount. Either $7, $10, $12 etc. The only time I deviate is when the pot has seen multiple limpers then I raise bigger...

Two friends at a very low buy-in SnG will it cause problems?

Hope this is the right forum, not sure if it belonged here or in STT. Also, this is not a disguised attempt at figuring out how to cheat Pokerstars or any other site so I hope the topic is okay, if...

Re: QQ $10 6 max S&G now 3 handed

Meh, guess I really have nothing to add but to second (or third) the opinion. Once the Ace comes if intend to get all-in then at least check it and let him bet, that way you give him a chance to...

Re: AK on the bubble facing huge overbet

OP, you should have a read of some kind by now. Your question shouldn't be, "should I call with AK." It should be, "what range do I put villain on." If villain is pushing 17% or looser you...

AK on the bubble facing huge overbet

Noone's been acting up on the bubble, first time anyone's gone all-in since 4 handed play began actually. I'd like to know what the "correct" play is here. I had two thoughts run through my head,...

Re: Three handed, 18BB, 99 on the button

Ignore my first response, I misread the title to be "on the bubble not on the button.

If we're already ITM then I think I'm getting it all-in here.

Re: Three handed, 18BB, 99 on the button

I fold, still have 2200 left with 100/200 blinds, I may be a nit though. The only way I'm calling this if I have a read, or if blinds are about to go up to 200/400 very soon.

Re: ask me a question about being a bouncer in a nightclub

Since everyone obviously already decided this was a pretty BS story, you don't need any more input from me, but I'll give it anyway.

Any club that needs 15 bouncers has gotta be pretty big,...

Re: NLCASH - Stack size, when to rathole?

I don't like to have a set amount I'm going to walk away with. If I get a big stack there's usually a reason, and I like to stick around and keep playing against the bad players. It's nice to have...

I would say pop it to 400, but I'm interested in what the SnG regulars have to say.
