Re: NL100 - AQo multiway pot vs. shorty flop CRAI.

I think this is a call, although maybe somewhat reluctantly.

If villain has been splashing around on flops a lot it is an easy call obv., but if this is the kind of 40vpip who sees tons of flops,...

Imo - Shove>Call> Fold >Min-Raising

lol

I guess I like to gamble for a huge pot in this spot. I think a smallish raise (maybe to 40ish) will look very strong here....

Re: probably (?) easy hand two pair in rough spot

This looks to me a lot like AK, maybe slowplayed aces. Then again, he could put you on QQ or JJ and be shoving an AQ/AJ type hand. I think in general this is a pretty safe fold though.

BTW not a...

Re: Can i fold on the turn with a set here?

Given that villain is sitting on half a buyin, there's no way you can fold given stack sizes here. Get in all in and be very happy about it IMO

Re: NL100: My KK gets shoved on by a nit

I think a nitty player (or even somewhat nitty players for that matter) are raising this flop with any overpair that kings beat. That pretty much narrows villains range to set/straight or semibluff...

Re: can I get away from tptk? 100nl

At this point call, although it probably won't be pretty. I'd try to slow things down a little on the flop. Just call the check raise and you can re-evaluate based on the turn action. Two reasons:

Re: NL100: My KK gets shoved on by a nit

I'm with the fold crowd.

Re: 100nl: Three barrel bluff

I think this is an ok three barrel. You are pretty much representing the set/straight, and you'll probably get him to fold anything worse than KJ here.

BTW, what is his WTSD%? might help in...

Re: Top 2

Pretty standard all in I think. Just too many possible draws.

Re: 100NL - QQ versus decent TAG on drawy flop

I think calling with the intention of check-raising all in on safe (ie. non heart, non 8) turns might be the way to go.

Re: NL100 TP against Donkey

I'd check behind turn for pot control. As played, I'd fold turn minraise unless there is history.

Re: Line w/ JJ?

Not sure how I feel about checking behind on the flop. As played you don't give yourself much room to get away from the hand.

I think you should raise this flop almost every time.

Re: NL100: River decision with TPGK

I think this is a check call, unless you have a specific read on this player (ie. rarely bets river/likes to slowplay flopped flush/set type hands)

Re: TPTK vs TAG deepish (with poll)

I'm not sure what hand he shows up with here that beats AK. He can't expect to get value out of a set or A9 with a shove on this river. IMO you could make this call, but I think it is entirely read...

Re: The old if I check I lose play...so why not bet

Question for OP: Were you intending to represent the flush if it hit on the river? What was the plan for the river when calling the turn?

Sometimes plays like this look like they happened because...

Re: Pot control or protection? Discuss this texture

I think you have to cbet this flop most of the time.

Villain will turn up with AK, QQ, AQs, JJ and throw in a couple other weird hands here and there.

I understand the desire to control the...

Re: 50nl - AK very deep

Calling the flop raise because it was "weak" to fold might have been a mistake in this hand. I wouldn't call a flop raise if I didn't intend to at least call the inevitable turn bet, especially if a...
