Re: How do you like to play against maniacs like this??

Let's get back to the question... Hero? I fold given the size of the 3 bet and being oop. Its $42 to CALL and I have invested $8. Had I invested more or he had 3 bet less I call or push. My inner...

Re: How do you like to play against maniacs like this??

I wasn't trying to be snide at all. Sorry you took that way. You answered my question. However, I would want to play post flop with this guy and push on made hands of 99 - AA preflop.

I...

Re: How do you like to play against maniacs like this??

That's a huge sacrifice. This is one hand. It doesn't define our strategy. You have a tremendous edge on this hand pre-flop that you can't sacrifice.

But I wouldn't want to get all-in pre-flop...

Re: How do you like to play against maniacs like this??

I have seen more of these types of players and have the same question. The mistake I have been making is trying to get at their money before they lose it all as you stated. Playing hard preflop...

Re: How many buyins have you lost and recovered?

What level? It seems that many 'profitable' players are seeing bigger swings than I suspected.

That was not my point. AK is only as good as the player that plays it. 22 is only as good as the player that plays it. AK is great for PFR and 3 betting, but generally plays...

Re: NL200: I don\'t know how to play OOP in 3-bet pot.

I never know what to do in these spots. Check-fold? if i check and he checks behind, lead turn? check-raise? c-bet big? c-bet 1/2 pot? 2/3? so lost.

OP nailed it before he started. Mixing it up...

He's not talking about how much you lost in a specific session, he's talking about swings overall, which can easily run into double digits even for solid winning players. Players in high...

Re: NLHE Implied odds for playing pocket pairs for set value

3 things to consider when set mining:

1. How much money does he have? I like at least 80BBs
2. How much money do you have? Play with a full stack.
3. Will he pay off when you hit, with his...

How many buyins have you lost and recovered?

I am on a bit of a bad run at the moment. I have been profitable for two years and am currently playing 200NL. During my move from dime to 200NL I have had several buyin swings.

So, to all you...

Re: NL200(6max)River decision with TPGK

Smaller bet on turn would have delivered same info... Split your turn bet on the turn and river and get there for same price.

Re: how does this bankroll plan sound?

Worry less about roll and more about skill intially. Too many use the 20 bi rule and forget that they must constantly improve their game to match their level. 20 bi is not a magic number that...

Couldn't agree more though, pzhon. As a general rule take your worst losing streak and triple the amount of buyins you need for a bankroll at the level you play.

Re: Theory question: leading into the pre-flop raiser

This is so read/player/flop texture dependent. A 1/3 to 1/2 bet is generally too small and will often be seen as a blocker. 2/3 to pot is ideal. Generally the drier the flop the better your odds...
