Re: Best Poker Podcasts?

[ QUOTE ]
I like Phil Gordon's but I am not sure how often that is updated because it has been over a month since I have listened to it. I think the name of it might be ESPN Poker Club, not quite...

Re: poker after dark

Watching every hand can be boring, but it's also refreshing in a way. We NEVER get to see the way pros play the unexciting hands in most televised poker.

Although there is a risk... if the fish...

Re: Why was Celebrity poker canceled?

You have to look at the average audience here. Joe Six Pack isn't necessarily gonna sit down to watch the WPT, but they might have watched Celebrity Poker Showdown because they liked some of the...

Re: \"Basically, i want to know, whether i should play in sats or not.\"

I'm surprised by the way the online sites have handled this.

Harrah's introduced that $10,000 "buy-in chip" didn't they? I really expected that the online sites would be purchasing those and...

Re: Awful WSOP news from PokerStars

I guess on something like that you're in a big gray area. That's the problem with the tax laws on gambling, they're still a lot of gray.

However, if you claim it as $10k income and then $10k loss...

Re: Awful WSOP news from PokerStars

From the legal tax standpoint, it doesn't matter. If you satellite in you won $10,000 and you are required to pay taxes on it. It doesn't matter if you get cash or an entry into the main event, you...

Re: Latest Book Schedule

Is HOH Cash only going to be 2 volumes, or should we expect a volume 3 workbook like the tournament series has?

Re: What books am I missing?

Thanks everybody for all the great recommendations. My wish list has now grown quite a bit.

Still a little unsure about Kill Phil, even historical threads here seem mixed on it.

Re: NHL OT Playoff Game Memories

As a Penguins fan, the ones I remember the most are the Caps game in 1996 and the Flyers game in 2000.

I was a junior in high school when the Caps game happened and I stayed up to watch the whole...

[ QUOTE ]

You are missing some Omaha-HiLo texts if you have any interest in that game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Any recommendations on that? I know it's covered in the Ray Zee book and there's a...

Re: What books am I missing?

Thanks for all the good recommendations. Is "Kill Phil" worth it? I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on that one.

What books am I missing?

I posted this the other day and it was lost in what will someday be known as the Great Forum Changeover of 2007.

Most of my poker library has been assembled via gifts from family for holidays and...

Re: The new forums now due tomorrow! (O/T)

[ QUOTE ]
Dammit I posted the answer to the ultimate question this morning, and now I can't remember it.

[/ QUOTE ]

42. But what's the question? And is the 42 suited or unsuited?

Re: Mac-Friendly, US Facing Poker?

Full Tilt is the only big one, although I believe PokerStars is beta testing a Mac client now.

Re: FTP Answers 2/23

Hey Doug, anything on the issues with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and the QuickTime 7.1.5 update? Not having Full Tilt is driving me nuts!

Hey, I never said I'm an expert-- not even close. That's why I'm here asking advice. Only way to improve is to learn from mistakes.

($5.50) 77 facing a raise - was this a bad decision?

Level 6 if I remember correctly. A raise seems like the right call from this position, but perhaps such a large one wasn't.

Card-Cutting Etiquette

This is probably an unusual question... but growing up I was always taught that when you cut cards, you cut away from the dealer. In a recent home game, I was told by some regular players that I...

Re: Divi Carina Bay Casino and Resort

Maybe bad form to pull a post this old up to the top, but NCAces, how was it? I was surprised that this was the only thread a search on Divi Carina turned up.
