Great thread. I've got one where I'm not sure who's play was worse.

I've myself said some pretty idiotic things back when I was just learning the rules of poker. I remember I once told my friend that I thought AKs was better than AA cuz it can make more...

Re: Villain offers to show a card

So if he has pocket 8's or 9's i guess i have to pay him off? I know the chances are slim but it happens. I just had a feeling i was beat i guess and i folded. I think part of it had to do with that...

I was in a hand about three months ago so i'm a little vague on all the details but it went something like this
1-2 NL at the taj. Hero has ~$350 villain has ~$500

hero has 8c9c

villain is...

Table Talk

When playing live poker, cash or tournament i repeatedly find i'm in a situation where i can get or give away a lot of information by talking to my oppenent. Negreanu uses table talk to get...

I'm going to move this to B&M where you'll probably get better responses. Most of us play online all the time.

1-3 NL 1010 low board

I was playing at a 1-3 game last night. I've been playing TAG and avoiding marginal situations and villian knows this. Villian is playing well and i've seen him make some tricky plays already. He was...

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (11/5 - 500k buyin - Spoilers expected)

Whenever i'm playing my regular 2-4 limit game at the taj i like to keep at least 2 or 3 50k bricks on either side of me so one sees my cards

Re: 100 NL...JJ in position vs TAG...line check

I'd probly fold to a shove pre with JJ. I said just call the flop because its a ragged board and the call could easily mean AK or a slow AA. I think it slows down villian and probably gives a free...

Re: Loose Home Game Flopped Straight

OK, so what your saying is there is no reason to trap with the nuts on a rainbow flop? Don't i want the turn to brick and then bet on turn or river and get called by 2 pair or a set.
