Re: 55 UTG

I would rely on my read/table image and relative chip stacks. Also, how deep are we, bubble approaching?

Rather than think about what we have, I think about what villian's calling range is and...

Re: More levels or more time?

Re: Tampa or Canada

Tampa cardrooms are very soft but the $100 max buyin sucks. Most rooms spread 1-2 and 2-5 with lots and lots of big multiway pots. Not unusual for 1-2 tables to see $300-$500 pots fairly often and...

Re: Fatigue and length of play time

I find 4-5 hour sessions to be the my max. Then I take a 1-2 hour break to eat, walk around and relax I can do another 4-5 hour session. The only time I will stay longer is if there are big schools...

Re: Need good plastic cards

I've got KEM, Dal Negro & Copags and my local cardroom uses Modiano's. My favorite by far is the KEMs!!

But if you want a thicker card then the Dals are nice. My Copags have really faded out...

The Silks allows their use. Just no phone calls or texting at the table or your hand is dead.

Re: PokerStars flashing action

I too am very annoyed by the flashing!! When I first started playing stars I spent a lot of time trying to clean up the visual diarrhea.

I only play Stars cuz their single table sng's have a...

Re: which poker pro is the most educated ?

Hate to say this cause he gets on my nerves big time but Paul Magriel(x-22) is tooooo smart (most educated?!?!) and I'm not sure if he qualifies as a true 'pro' since he teaches.

From Wiki-
-Paul...

Re: Poker Cards

I've played in a several casinos that use KEM and my current favorite room uses Modiano's. I've always liked everything about the KEMs, the feel of the Mo's is okay but I notice that they always seem...

Re: 5/10 NL Seminole trip report

First off, I don't consider myself a great player and have only been playing for about a year. Yes, I'm a winning player (both cash and tourney) and I usually go deep in tourneys.

Just moved to...

Re: Chips missing after tournament break

I always count 'em down and have a polite convo with dealer about my stack. Then I cover them with my seat card. This makes it harder to palm any (unless I have a monster stack)

Also, if I find...

Re: Weekend vs Midweek Players

I noticed similar demographics and table dynamics. I've booked winning sessions during a weekday, but it is much tougher play.

Weekends, especially into the evening/night has the wildest games and...

Re: Satelites

I mostly play $20-$30 Stars SnGs so when I want to Sat into a bigger tourney I usually play the Double Shoot outs since I have an edge. These are really, really soft if you are good at SnGs.

Re: queens on the bubble prove my roomate wrong

If big stack has been actively pushing the table around, I'm praying he shoves into my QQ so I can get a much needed double up since I'm way ahead of his range.

I don't play for a cash, I play...

Evidently, I'm a major guppy at ring games /images/graemlins/tongue.gif But I play the $30 SnG's and have a %19 ROI playing 3 at a time. I'm working on adding tables to up my hourly rate.

I use my...

Re: Las Vegas Small buy in Tourney Strategies? Lost?

No offense intended but your play seems very weak tight. You should loosen up your calling/raising ranges and definitely step up the aggression.

My experience in these types of tourneys is to play...

Re: Early stages, calling a reg in postion, exploitable?

The biggest problem I see is that you flop OESD/FD and the reg doesn't give u proper odds to call. If you call you are compounding the mistakes and while you might win a pot once and a while its just...
