Re: Home Poker Game in NJ

Good luck with that attitude buddy. I run a home game and no one gets beat up or cheated. We do smoke however, so maybe you can find a friendly game in a nursing home or something.

Re: Rake vs. Hourly Drop in AC

Thanks, that's helpful. Maybe I'll see you there in a few weeks. I'll be the one looking overwhelmed and playing nitty.

Re: Rake vs. Hourly Drop in AC

Yeah, that's what I figured. Logic dictates that you have to play/win more hands with the drop to "keep up" with it.

How do you adjust for that? Expand your range somehow vs. the raked tables?

Rake vs. Hourly Drop in AC

I'm considering moving up from 1/2N to 2/5 NL. I usually play at Ceasars and I'm told that while the pot is raked 10% (Max $4) at 1/2, all players must pay $5/half-hour to sit at the 2/5 table. It...

Re: ak hits A high flop and gets minraised

I either just complete or raise to $2 preflop and then check/raise the flop either way, folding to a reraise, and check/folding to a sizable bet on the turn/river.

As played, I think I fold....

Re: $20NL Home Game - Semi-Bluff Shove Against two LAPs

To me, LAP means "loose aggressive player", so I apologize if I'm using the wrong terminology.

I didn't put the BB on a complete bluff, but a vulnerable made hand. A hand that he could possibly...

Re: Hand that\'s been haunting me...

Isn't 4-betting flop same thing as what I did? You mean bet 4x pot after he checks or 4 bet his min raise? The later would have been $120, not much less than my stack.

villian's check on the...
