Re: NL400: TT flops set in a reraised pot...

preflop is fine, I don't think getting it in on the flop is bad really, but if he'd good/solid/not spewy, I think c/cing the flop is better since you're rarely getting it in good here if the money...

Re: 3/6 turn

c/f turn.....shove river if he checks the turn, and hope he doesn't time down and call with QQ.

Re: 5/10 NL Tough spot

Wtf is wrong with 4 betting here? As long as you do it with any sort of frequency it's completely fine. I think you can take AK out of his range here, so it seems he has AA/KK here or he's bluffing....

Re: Bottom set river decision

[ QUOTE ]
I've never checked a set on the river with a backdoor flush coming but this might be a time that I do.

Re: 3/6 River top 2 facing unusual heat

If you're even considering folding the river here you should have folded on the turn.

Re: completetly lost on a river check raise by nationz

fold vs nationz, he's terrible in that never folds kind of way, not in that always spewing off chips bluff c/ring rivers kind of way.

Re: value shove?

[ QUOTE ]
Think you're looking at a real polarized range here - I probably call

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed, I wouldn't shove unless I have a better idea of what he plays like this.

Re: KK deep

I'm going broke here every time, but calling and check/calling a turn shove seems like a far better option since you give him the opportunity to do something dumb. By shoving the flop here he can...

Re: awkward turn QQ

wow, whatever you do, don't fold here. wtf do you think he has QK? Given description, he's probably floating a lot, so c/c turn c/c river seems good here. Betting the turn here also seems fine.

Re: pretty gross AA decision vs tough lag

I agree with duck on this 100%. I don't think calling the flop and playing poker on the turn is bad, but given the description of villain, and more importantly, the history between the two of you,...

Re: Line check with 99 overpair. I think I\'m up against TT : (

I like the flop raise only if you have some history with this guy or if he has reason to believe you make a lot of plays at ragged flops in position. I think calling preflop is fine as well, but I'm...

Re: changed my mind 5/10

[ QUOTE ]
the river shove is so much more stronger than a turn shove esp given what the turn card was.

If villain is decent then i quite like it. If hes bad or really good then hes just not...

a check on this flop is good bcz many pp's will then think they are good and we can extract value on future streets.

as played, I fold the turn. looks a lot like a K

Re: Trips + Straight draw on turn

Folding seems best here, although I'm having a hard time putting him on a hand here. I wouldn't be that surprised if you had the same hand, but I can't see him doing this for value with worse, and I...

Re: How should I play overpairs oop?

There is nothing you can do in hand 1 really. It is merely bad luck he happened to have a set, but you lose a ton of value by checking this river, and if you are checking the river it should be to...

Re: 5/10- stupid thin value against aejones

Do those who advocate checking this river want to c/c or c/r this river for value? I initially thought c/c, but it seems very unlikely we are beat given the turn action.
