Re: 5/10 NL live who double barrells here?

[ QUOTE ]
That 9 isn't much of a scare card for whatever both villains called you with.

I can't think of a time I two barrel bluffed two villains.

On the river, I'm going to give up most the...

5/10 NL live who double barrells here?

Foxwoods 5/10, 10-handed.

This one is heavily read-dependent, but I am curious what people have to say. Villain 1 is loose and aggressive preflop but is more loose and passive postflop. He can...

Re: 5/10 NL live not sure how to play trips OOP

[ QUOTE ]
This is rarely a bluff. as played the river is a fold. I probably prefer a turn check since you "were a little worried on the flop" and rightly so. I would check/call turn and fold to...

5/10 NL live not sure how to play trips OOP

Foxwoods 5/10, 10-handed.

I have played with villain for just one session in the past. He seems very solid and has a reputation as a very good player. He thinks of me as a good player who is...

Re: NL200 - QQ vs massive c/r on KKx board

I might consider folding here, depending on history and timing. You have to be pretty sure he is bluffing right here to commit all your money. I guess you have to trust your gut about whether he is...

Re: KK very deep. Pay off river? 1/2

If the river bet looks like it wants to get called, fold. If you aren't sure about this, call.

What about bet/fold on the turn? If he is someone who doesn't bluff much, then this may be the way...

Re: 1/2: TT on QQ83 board, flop and turn play

I would fold because you don't have enough evidence yet that this guy can get out of line.

Re: 10/25 NL live weird spot after 3-betting preflop

[ QUOTE ]
Any physical tells/reads? How quick did he bet it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, he asked me how much I had left after I bet the flop, but that doesn't mean much. On the turn I can't point to...

10/25 NL live weird spot after 3-betting preflop

Foxwoods 10/25, 10-handed.

Don't have much of a read on villain. He is somewhere between a mediocre player and a decent player. My image is pretty tight and solid, but capable of making a move...

results

I called and he had 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif9/images/graemlins/spade.gif. Pair plus gutshot on the flop, and picked up a flush draw on the turn. Good read by me, bad execution.

Yeah I say give him credit for JKc the first time he does this.

Re: 5/10 NL live double checkraise and possible sick river call

[ QUOTE ]
Cero I disagree, its pretty easy to put villain on a jack here if we think he was bluffing the flop, and in position this makes our hand really easy to play. Snap fold a K or an 8 and call...

Re: 5/10 NL live double checkraise and possible sick river call

[ QUOTE ]
The point is, by playing the hand the way you did, you put yourself in a very tough situation where you might have to call on the river with one pair for a 900bb pot. Whether you should...

Re: 5/10 NL live double checkraise and possible sick river call

[ QUOTE ]
I agree with most of the posters who say check behind on the turn and call any river bet. I think when you are this deep and you only have 1 pair, pot control becomes more important than...

Re: 5/10 NL live double checkraise and possible sick river call

[ QUOTE ]
River is a definite fold, if he has a good read on you he can valuetown you far too easily. I like a check behind on the turn, in which case you can call the river. Betting the turn just...

Re: 5/10 NL live double checkraise and possible sick river call

It is kind of tough to defend the river call, but I think the turn play can be defended despite what people say. When he checkraises and then checks again, he almost definitely does not have me...

5/10 NL live double checkraise and possible sick river call

Foxwoods 5/10, 10-handed.

Villain is a loose player with a wide raising range preflop. He is a decent player overall and is capable of big moves. His moves are sometimes a little too big and...

I am a live pro. I don't play online because it doesn't feel like real poker to me and is way less fun. Picking up physical tells and getting to know how someone thinks by observing them in real...

5/10 NL live I want to make a huge call

Foxwoods 5/10, 10-handed.

I haven't played with villain for very long, but he has a big stack and seems to be unafraid to make big moves and be tricky. In one hand I saw him make a very thin...

Re: 5/10 weird blind battle

My guess is that he would think an unknown would err on the side of calling too much on the river. So fold the first time.

Re: 10/25 NL live playing top pair weak kicker very strong

I'd call the pre-flop raise only because I'm on the button in what looks to be at least a 3-way pot with very deep stacks.

But I wouldn't be playing to flop top pair. I'd be looking to...
