Re: negreanu\'s column: tells comment?

I know what DN is talking about and I'd guess I'm susceptible to this, but doubt I've ever been exploited by it.

I look at the opposite corners of the cards as soon as I get them, then wait my...

If you do choice number one when seated at the same table, that honestly sounds like collusion to me. Even if you didn't deliberately cheat, you are not going to care whether he or you...

Re: Borgata $20/$40, Two Staking Opportunities

I played it, taking the crossbook with my buddy. I held my own for about 5 hours in two separate sessions on Friday afternoon and Friday night, down $300, 7 bets. My buddy destroyed his tables and...

Borgata $20/$40, Two Staking Opportunities

I was down in Atlantic City this weekend for a poker trip with a friend of mine. My normal comfort zone for live games is between 5/10 and 10/20, inclusive. My favorite AC game is the pink chip at...

Re: Im [censored]

This exact story happened to me about two years ago. Except replace "this kid" with Party Poker and replace "coin flip" with blackjack. If I ever run in to Martingale, I'm punching him in the mouth.

Re: How often do you forget stuff instantly?

1) Every single time.
2) Always.
3) Always. Somehow I've "corrected" this by instantly recording anything I'm interested in and watching, for fear of missing it.

There's a restaurant by my...

Re: Encorporating Professional NL Holdem, KQs in the BB

If I want to raise, is it better to make a small raise (say $1.50 more, a pot sized raise) or a larger raise, to like $3 or $2.50 or so?

Raising a larger amount seems like I can narrow the field a...

Encorporating Professional NL Holdem, KQs in the BB

Home game for low stakes with friends, all players relatively competent post-flop, but fairly loose preflop standards.

8 player NL Holdem, stack sizes between $30 and $40, blinds are $0.25 / $0.25...

Cute dog, they're awesome as puppies.

I have two purebread beagles that I've adopted from troubled homes. They're coming out of being puppies now. I love them, but they're difficult sometimes.

I like the fold unless you think he checks behind overpairs on the flop frequently

Checks behind unpaired high cards, trips, lower PP's. Not overpairs.

Crazy River Jam has me fouled up.

Home game SNG, 7 runners, paying two. 4000 starting chips, 20 minute levels, normal blinds. We're at 50/100 right now, early on.

Folds to the button. He's a reasonable player in every sense....

Re: Another Sit n Go Question

I did the math using an ICM calculator. By my calculations, the break-even point from EV perspective is when KK is 61.11% against the SB's range.

A range that's a shade below 60% (and would...
