If my...

However, the example he gives of applying it to Hold'Em is...

You could ALSO say "I can stick with my T10K for my original buy-in, get everyone else to double their investment and STILL have a 30% lead on the larger stacks."

Re: Theory behind big Add-On\'s?

The book The Poker Tournament Formula -- whether you buy the logic of the "formula" or not -- has the most comprehensive analysis I've seen of rebuys, add-ons, the theory behind them, and how...

If someone was picking fights or just ranting the whole time so that nobody else could talk, then yeah, I would probably opt him out, but just run-of-the-mill annoying?

Even if you someone is...

Pot odds are 4:1 or better and you have a flush draw on the turn. All the books I read say you should call but none of them address whether or not you should raise if everyone else checks...

Last but not least, there is one thing that 2+2 theory fails to explain: Why is it always the biggest idiot at the table who ends up as the biggest winner?

Been playing dealer's choice game, mostly hi/low, that permits bets between $1-$3 each round and $5 on the last round. Just curious how common spead limit games are these days.

Re: How do YOU like to stack up your chips?

In a 4/8 limit game, I like most of my stacks with 16, a row of 8s in front of them, and stacks of 4s in front or on top of those (offset, of course). This makes it easier to grab chips to bet with.

Did I misplay these?

I'm a limit player, but got into a 1/2 NL game at El Dorado (in Bossier, LA) last week because it was all that was open.

It was a wild game with a standard raise of $20 preflop. I bought in for...
