Re: Standard or foolish?

I don't think your play was particularly standard or foolish depending on how the BB plays. You're something like 33% to win outright and you're betting $80 into a $80 pot. If the BB will fold any...

Not sure if you get it or not but my take is if the odds are in your favour then the more times you run it the better the chance of getting the more likely result. If the odds are against...

Re: Live NL pre-flop raise sizing

[ QUOTE ]
standard raise at 1/2 is $10. If someone raises to $15 or higher it screams pocket pair 88+, its amazing how the $5 difference in raise tells so much. This is just my experience though. ...

Re: 1/2 NL with 100 max buy in.

I think the bad players are more likely to call a big stack push precisely because it looks like bullying to them. If another $100 stack pushes all-in then ZOMG they must have a big hand to risk...

I'm looking to play for fun though, not make money. Just play for a couple of hours. This doesn't strike me as fun, at least not compared to other stuff I can do with my time.

Re: PNL & the Jocks vs Nerds issue

No comment on Jocks vs. Nerds, but I definitely support keeping Vol. 2 general as opposed to a having a 6-max focus. As a B&M player, I find myself in both full and short games all the time and I am...

Re: Rulings question

Assuming your details are complete and accurate, I think you're in for $600. You handed the chip runner $600, he announced it as "6 behind" and it was legal for you to bring $600 onto the table. ...
