Re: JJ overpair to board against semi lag player

A pot sized bet screams to me Axcc as if he's trying to make sure he is priced in to chase. A solid player isn't going to make that big a bet with a lower pp than our JJ imo. I also think he bets for...

Re: NL100 I\'m having trouble with JJ in 3 bet pots

Re: So I try the cold-call w/ AK thing...

If we raise the flop what are we doing if he shoves?

As played I like calling down on turn and river

Re: Float turns into value bet 100NL

[ QUOTE ]

Id be glasd to go to showdown with a pair that might win, as opposed to try and extract value with a hand that could way be the worse here.

Precisely what I thought!

Re: NL100 AA on the river

Yes I bet $55 here, he seems like enough of a calling station for this to be profitable

Re: 100 NL facing a check raise on 44T board with JT

Against this villain this is an incredibly easy fold. I see him only very rarely having 55-99

Re: I have Flush, villain bets 1/2 pot on river, do I raise for value

Given how much he has left to call and the pot size after we shove, we can get looked up by a lot of worse hands imo

Re: NL100 Flops tot two, get\'s c/r

Standard.

I don't think it matters what his flop AF is here, we don't have anywhere near a big enough sample size for this stat to mean anything at all!

Re: Float turns into value bet 100NL

First off, don't post your BB out of position!

I prefer checking this river, if we'd missed the river then I prefer the shove as we'd have no showdown value

Re: hand vs. scubachuck

I don't think there is a lot else to be said about the hand, I think you played it fine.

One thing I will say is if your game has changed because of running bad then move down a level or two until...

Re: 100Nl tight spot with AA

When you are this deep you need to 4bet to deny any implied odds. I make it $35-$40 to go and then we don't need to worry about what comes out (within reason). If we can get him to call our 4bet then...

Re: Would anyone just fold pre-flop?

If you're half stacking you should be elated at the chance to get your chips in PF with QQ!

As other have said, either reload or play lower stakes where you can comfortably afford the full buy in

I definitely prefer raising the flop to betting the river.

Re: I have Flush, villain bets 1/2 pot on river, do I raise for value

I prefer raising the flop here. The one player behind us doesn't have much of a stack so we don't need to worry too much about him. I make it about $40 although I don't think calling is bad.

As...

Re: AA 130BB deep, turn decision

With the Ac in our hand it is very unlikely we are facing a flush so I bet out for $40-45. If called I still bet the river unimproved.

Why make marginal moves against maniacs? Patience is the key.

Re: KK - 4-bet pot against TAG - 175 bb deep.

yeah villains turn shove is pretty gross.

I only fold PF because we are so deep. For 100BB's this is so much easier right?

Re: QQ deep, what do I do here?

I re raise because we are OOP and want to make our post flop decisions as easy as possible.

If we re raise and he shoves then I think it is a call. Hands like JJ/TT can show up using his line.

Re: NL 100, flop the nuts, how to get most money!

$60, if he calls flop he has a very hard time getting away on the turn when we shove so no need to bet too big on the flop.
