Re: NL25: AA v 2 NIT robots. $24 in the pot $16 left. Q on flop.

Thanks guys - I was being too results oriented because I did push and lost to villain2’s QQ.

What was much worse though was that I went on a little tilt swing right after as I tried to work out...

Re: NL25 - Speculation preflop leads to this.....

[ QUOTE ]
Ok, I learned the hard way when I moved up from NL10 to NL25 that bets actualy mean hands at NL25. Most of the time, that is. So he bets the flop, you raise, he calls - then he leads the...

Re: odds of hitting with suited connectors

Brilliant! I never really saw the point of SC as I thought the chances of hitting a decent hand were much more than that - so I've just dumped them. Now that I see why they can be played like small...

Re: How can I explain to ppl that online sites are not rigged?

I recently heard an argument that I thought was pretty good, which is that if you were going to rig the games you'd want to make sure you could hide the evidence.

But there are players out there...

Re: Avatar\'s playing guitars

It should be a well known fact [if not, I'll invent it] that all good guitar players are tortured, lonely souls who spend way too much time sat at home, alone; strumming late into the night to keep...

Re: bankroll

The 20 buyin guideline can be a bugger. I moved up to NL25, went up 2 BI and then down 5 more [I went stoopid], so now I need to win back 7.5 BI @ NL10 just to scramble back to where I was again.

Re: How to stop Overplaying TPTK?

This confuses me too! And if you do put someone on a draw should you be putting in pot size bets to deny them odds or exercise pot control as TP really isn't a big enough hand to justify a big pot?...

Thanks for the exta input. What I have also noticed is that all the super nitty players from China and Eastern Europe, the ones who only play premium hands even in LP, seem to stick to the NL10. I...

I'm new to poker, but not to statistics, so I wonder whether choosing not to rebuy "for a 3rd time because he was running so hot" could also be described a kind of tilt?

Disregarding post counts, how long would the 2p2 gurus consider someone to be a 'newbie'? I have been playing online for about 5 months, so I introduce myself in posts as a newbie. But the more I...

Moving up to NL25 - memo to self

I have recently moved up from NL10 to NL25, and while I was a winner at NL10 (over 20,000 hands) and started off well at NL25, my figures have just taken a dive into negative territory following 5...

Re: Pokerstars - Paying taxes if you live in denmark

Move to France! Games of chance aren't taxed here; as long as you have another 'official' source of income to declare.

So that's me done with step 1.

Step 2. Learn not to lose. [That one...
