If you're calling a river bet (some times) raise the turn, makes his spot oop far more difficult to play.

i like raising the turn if we have no showdown value....

100nl: I suck in 3bet pots...

I always find 3bet pots so difficult to play. I can usually put villains on a decent range but i can never figure out what they are going to do with that range.

Heres a simple hand to illustrate...

Re: 100nl: Two 4bet shoves with AQ

if you really think he's getting out of line just 4bet smaller/call a shove.

Whats the advantage of 4bet small/call shove to just 4bet shoving???

Re: QQ RR 4-ways preflop; 50NL

Yeah i think flop is a good fold. It is not as likely that he cbets with AK in a multiway pot with a short stacker.

Re: $100NL - QQ, M-Set, All Heart flop.

Re: 200: Warning: A Different Line with QQ

With history described i would definitely 3bet this preflop. But as played i like the rest of the hand.

Re: 200: Flopped Straight on Mono Board 3 way Raise in Front

Yeah pretty unlikely to be AQ+ in a limped pot. I would fold also.

Re: 200: tpwk

Re: 50NL JT turns more outs

I like this. Seems like you have a fair bit of FE against all hands apart from the made straight.

Re: 100NL: How Much Do I Bet?

You should be betting more on the flop.

I think a river shove will get called.

Re: 2/4 JJ

[ QUOTE ]
Tell me about the turn check, i am curious what you were thinking at this spot?

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably because we only get two streets of value from hands we beat.

Re: 200NL Stat Check Please

won @ SD seems a little low. I think it should be over 50%.
Perhaps you are attempting to pick off too many bluffs?

Also, I dont get how VPIP is irrelevant to your question yet $ won and ptbb is?...

Re: 200NL: Top Two...Horrible Turn

I dunno about post-flop its a tough one. However on tables such as this you should consider raising more preflop. I would raise to $16-18.

Re: NL100: AQ on Q-high Board vs. Flush Rivercard

The only hand he beats that we beat is KQ in my opinion. So folding cant be too bad. I fold.

Re: 100NL: Two Pair vs. Turn Raise

Its close but i call because its only 77BB deep and villain will show up with AQ, 63, or a draw enough of the times to make this profitable.

However, folding isn't a big mistake either as i expect...

Re: AQ, turn plan in 3bet pot with top pair (NL50)

Am I wrong to think calling a strong 3bet with AJ is unlikely from a NL50 player who so far has appeared "a little loose?"
Am I giving people too much credit?
