Re: My analysis.
Pot would be T1300. If we assume his bet in this situation is proportional to his bet in the actual hand, then he bets between T800-T1000.
I've got T4500 left, I would most probably raise to...

My analysis.
Interesting, so far two heavy posters recommend totally different tactics. This is good, as it reenforces the marginal nature of the situation.
My obvious dilemma is, either he is bluffing...

Early hand in the local lotto poker tournament (ie blinds increase every 15 minutes).
The player to my immediate right is the Villain. He's a good player, plays about 40% of his hands and has been...

Live tourney Question: Unethical or just funny?
The local live poker tournament gamble (blinds double every 15 minutes). The situation occurs near the end, 3 tables left, money starts with the final table.
Blinds are T4000/T8000. The victim...

Can you swami's help?
Tournament structure:
No Limit Hold'em.
T6000 starting chips.
10-handed tables.
Blinds start at T25, T50 and double every 15 minutes. This equates to about 10 hands per...

Re: Live tournament, short stack hand.
Yah, I pushed the flop. Only UTG called. He showed pocket Queens, I did not improve.
I figured getting 11:1 preflop and closing the action made the preflop call automatic, given the coordination...

Live overpair. call or fold?
Local $55 buy-in tourney. I don't know anyone, but they generally seem weak-tight.
We all start with T5000 25/50 blinds. I've made a few plays, won 5 pots with one showdown where I had bottom set....

Re: $11 sng turn Question
Sweetening the pot is all my preflop raise is meant to accomplish. Post flop I can easily get away from this hand if I'm raised.

On the other hand...
...being that the BB is the big stack, the blinds are so hi, and the short stack is what it is...how about just fold?
the goal being 1) make it to the money, 2) play for first. In that order.
