Re: NL10 AKo pre-flop spot

I'm folding, I'm nitty. I don't see AKo beating QQ+ enough here to make it a worthwhile call.

Saying this, I have been in all in PF pots at NL10 against A9s, AQo x 2 and AKs the last couple of...

Re: ICM Calculation Help/Question

Nice online calculator.

In a simple example, where all players are neither too loose or too tight, how do you work out a fold percentage?

Like if BB has 12000 to 3000 his calling range is much...

Re: icm ?

SNG Wizard (and others I'm sure) will help you analyse ICM situations after the SNG is over. If you look over enough SNG's, you will quickly pick up when to push and when to fold. I've had it less...

Re: UTG betting early on, 9 max, $6.50.

So you do limp your monsters, QQ+?

UTG betting early on, 9 max, $6.50.

OK, with most players left and blinds low I've been doing something like this:
JJ-, Axs, AT/AJ/KQ I've been limping, folding to big raises, no need to be 50/50 or worse at this level
QQ+, AQ+...

Re: $6 JJ on the button, low blinds

I called, he showed QQ, I felt donkish. And I'll probably do the same thing again if I get the chance /images/graemlins/smile.gif

$6 A3o bubble play

I ran this through sngwiz and it suggested a fold. sngwiz said A7+/A3s+. So according to ICM this is a mistake. Is it a really bad mistake, or a marginal push, just not quite the right decision? ...

$6 JJ on the button, low blinds

Sorry, can't find the HH for this hand, disappeared off the face of the earth.

It's $6.50 FTP, blinds at about 30/60, I'm on the button.

MP has about t1700, I have about t1400, BB has about...

Re: $12 Button with AJo

Had a look over sngwiz for the last couple of nights play, and there has been a few mistakes, but not too many, which is good. I understand and try to implement ICM at a very basic level, but in...

Re: $12 Button with AJo

I've downloaded and had a play with sngwiz, I'll definitely run it over last nights play when I get a chance.

Worst of all, I'd just moved up a level, so the last couple of nights good runs...

Re: $12 Button with AJo

Really, ATC against big stack, fair enough. Am I calling all in's here too with ATC or only all in if first to act?

Re: $12 KQo near the bubble

If he folded he'd have 1500 chips left, me on 1900, the rest above 2800. If my raise was folded to him, and he had A7o or K9o, he'd consider a call wouldn't he? Or are the blinds not enough to make...

$12 QQ Ace and flush cards

Fairly loose player, was happy he called, unhappy to see Ace on the flop. Most often get a cbet to take the money here, due to players calling PF with TT/A7/KQ.

Interestingly enough he said...

$12 Button with AJo

Others were patiently waiting for me to die.

Raising into chip lead in the BB, but I need a double up to ITM here don't I?

$12 KQo near the bubble

I was obviously hoping the bigger guns would stay out of this and maybe get a call from BB desperate to double up, certainly didn't expect/want two callers but that's why pushing OOP sucks.

Full...

Re: 50NL - When to slow down with AA?

It's not any overpair, it's AA /images/graemlins/smile.gif

He's made it hard to work out a hand by calling everything, but his line is chasing a flush. You are beaten by trips, which isn't...

Re: A10 Nut Straight on turn but flush out What now

Get it all in on the turn. He reraised you preflop with what to get a flush? AcJc/AcTc??? A better fit would be KK/QQ/AK/AQ/KQ. Unfortunate would be AcKd, and another club on the river, but you...

Re: KK, nasty board.

or royal flush /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would shove here too, but I've been beaten by this flop more than once when I've flopped an AA or KK set.

Re: TPTK Hand vs Possible tilt.

Don't like the limp at all, but after that I'd be folding to the flop raise without information on the player, he could have hit anything after the limp, it's not worth it for Jacks. It sounds like...

Re: NL 10 - QQ preflop discussion

One of these guys will surely have AK, AA or KK. Call the PF, then look for exit sign if A or K hits but Q doesn't. If Queen hits, you have to try to get all in regardless of a A or K I would say.
