handling a minbet/reraise

Does anyone take a different line here? The villain is a running at VPIP 70 with a flop aggression of 1. What range of hands do you put him on after the weird minbet/reraise?

Re: won money when saw flop

I play pretty tight preflop...18/15 type game. Tight up front, loose from the steal positions.

Re: won money when saw flop

Preflop I'm doing pot + 1BB per limper...which works out at 3.5BB + 1BB per limper...should I start adding the extra 0.5BB will that get me heads up more often do you think?

I'm having a look at the stats thread and most of the solid players have a won $ when saw flop % in the high 30's and low 40's. I'm runninng at about 32%. In other words I'm probably giving up too...

Re: stacking off with top pair good kicker blind vs blind

Hey VLV my standard raise size is pot +1BB per limper but I raise extra out of the blinds to charge people for playing me in position.

Do you stack off on the turn here with AQ?

stacking off with top pair good kicker blind vs blind

Villain is running at 39/14 with a flop aggression of 1.29. I have a fairly solid TAG image. Is there a better line to take here?

Re: help with blind defence - bleeding money

Worm that's a good idea against 30% stealers I need to start 3betting more preflop and cbetting on the flop.

Re: rivered boat - is this a standard raise?

That's what I thought as well I had a brief moment afterwards where I started thinking "Maybe I should just call because if I raise then at best I'm looking at a chop if called". But of course I'm...

help with blind defence - bleeding money

Here's a typical scenario for me. Villain is an aggressive button stealer (around 30% attempt to steal) and has a fairly high aggression factor. I'm pretty sure I have decent pot equity against his...

rivered boat - is this a standard raise?

I've only played two hands with the villain. Am I called here by a naked 5 often enough to compensate for the times I run into QJ/55?

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

Hey guys thanks for the input. One of the members here has kindly sent some hand histories and I'm in the process of doing a deep deconstruction of both our games so I can see where I am going wrong....

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

VLV thanks for that post. I can already see some huge differences in our games:

(a) Our Won $ WSF flop stats are pretty different...I'm consistently around the 32-33% mark and you're sitting at...

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

Check_The_Nuts you make an interesting point about double barrelling it's something I've only recently added to my game. I never triple barrel. Out of my 6k sample, I pulled out all the hands where...

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

VLV, I just do an ALT-PRINTSCREEN and paste the images into paint. I then use imageshack.us for hosting.

WHITEBOYAEHS, I am a losing player over a larger sample. I don't have lifetime stats...

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

Hey vixticator if you've got a smaller but non-trivial sample size I'm happy to work with that for now...if it suits you I'm happy to do the following...you send me across your hand histories, and...

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

Hi Lurker the reason I wanted a big sample size is because I have "run good" for 5,000 hands where I managed quite a good winrate, but my lifetime winrate still converges to something like...

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

vixticator that would mean 6.75...so at $0.05/$0.10 I'm basically looking for a sample where the hero is winning at $1/100 hands or more.

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

Manchild84 that's probably true I could probably do with a little more cbetting. Do you have different cbet strategies in the following cases?

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

abcjnich I don't think playing tighter is the answer and here's why. UTG I already have a very narrow opening range 22+, AJ+, KQ. UTG+1 I still play very tight I only add KJs, ATs to my range.

I...

Re: typical session for me - why can\'t I beat this limit?

My first comment is that I think I'm holding my own in the big pots. Of all the pots where the win/loss was more than 50BB, my losses total $55.25 and my wins total $121.7 so I think I'm getting the...
