I like it if you think you can fold out some of his range (smaller overpairs, single pairs, etc), or if he frequently sees you c-bet

Wouldn't a c-bet just turn our hand into a bluff though? What worse hand calls? I can't see a better hand folding very often (aside from maybe KK)

What is the merit of a bet over check? My thinking is (and I'm new so bear with me lol) not a whole lot of worse hands call, and no better hands fold.

Would a check here not be a good play?
