The implied odds are through the roof, I think. If he has aces and an 8 falls then you have a very good chance of doubling. The pot is already bloated because of the 4 way action and any bet is going...

Yeah... I want to see if I can pull some consistent profit and then I'll get it. His reraise was in the proper range for a monster hand... that's why it gave me some much trouble.

At this level I get so many damn people calling the c-bet that I feel like I've lost any ability to tell what it means. And then, usually a turn card comes that does help me at all and I'm stuck.

I don't like it because he obviously has a made hand and is overbetting to protect something that is already there. It seems like poker fundamentals when you aren't getting the proper odds necessary...
