Re: Set in 3-bet pot....min-raise ftw?

With so many draws out there I would raise more on the flop and pray that villain puts it in with an overpair before any scare cards come that might let them get away from their hand.

Re: Absolute Platinum tourney schedule

I don't know what the SS means, but you have to e-mail their VIP support to get the free entry. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for them to get back to you so it's a good idea to get in touch...

Re: Absolute VIP

They gave me $110 if memory serves correct for the chipset. I got $425 for an Ipod early last summer. I guess Ipods are cheaper now then they used to be.

Re: Absolute VIP

You do get a free chipset (or cash equivalent) when you achieve Elite VIP status as well as one free entry per month to their Saturday 100K guaranteed tourney and daily 10K guaranteed. At Platinum...

Re: New SH-player seeking multiple advise

Scary,

[ QUOTE ]

The KJ hand I'd never bet the turn and consider folding the river, but calling river is fine versus most.

I don't really understand this. Here I would mix up...

Re: Reading too much; Couple hands vs. LAG

I didn't realize that we were supposed to comment on hand #1, but I think that it's a pretty clear b/f as this is an unpaired A looking to pull off a turn "value check" very frequently.

Re: help on turn please

You can't fold the flop getting 11.5:1 when his range still probably includes 88-QQ as well as KK AA (Or maybe an oddly played AK or AQ or something). I will fold the turn normally UI against someone...

Re: Reading too much; Couple hands vs. LAG

If this guy is really laggy then I am a bit surprised that he didn't bet the turn in hand #1. He clearly likes to show down a lot though, so your bet in hand #2 is pretty good IMO as he will likely...

Re: 99 in large pot against LAG, playing passive

Raise the flop to try to knock out SB, and possibly CO because if villain 3-bets it will face CO with 2 cold. If villain has an overpair then you have 6 outs so you will have to call the turn anyway....

Re: Specifics on Absolute Bonus Program Needed

Being dealt in any hand with a rake of 50 cents or more will count towards your bonus. After you collect 100 points, they will deposit $10 of you bonus into your account. The rake hits 50c in a pot...

Re: Put him on AK and calldown??

According to the Stove, if you ignore the maniac you get something like:

Board: Qd Jc 5h
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 23.3392 % 23.34% 00.00% { 7c7d }...

Re: wtf is limit? .25/.50 I\'m trout, possibly salmon

I think these look mostly good to me. I might check the turn in hand 1, but a lot of people seem to peel that with gutters or any two cards higher than a 6, so I will bet it frequently as well. The...

Re: Anybody slow down here? ($3/$6)

Most AA and KJ will figure out that you have a set by the time you cap the turn, so when he leads out river I think I tend to call. I don't think raising and calling a 3-bet is ever going to be a big...

Re: Blind defense.....

Sorry, no I wasn't replying to you, I meant to reply to the OP. I realize that with A3 you will make some incorrect folds on the turn, as well as the fact that it has RIO if an Ace hits, so I don't...

Re: Blind defense.....

I used to play it the way you do. Now I am peeling more against blind stealers, because there are so many K-high and J-high hands that you are ahead of:

Re: Absolute table skins no longer working after update

This 6-max change is a real bummer. Seat selection was a bit better when there were 9 seats.

Re: TPNK gets checkraised on the turn.

I call down here pretty much always because a SB open limp often means suited junky cards and check raising the turn with a heart draw is farly standard for a lot of players. A pair plus a straight...

Re: QQ

Ugly river. Against an unknown I play the same way as you. If I have lots of hands on the player (more than 1000) I will make a crying call in their won showdown when raised river is ~70% or less, as...

Re: Underpair on monotone flop

I agree with Carmine. I don't think that I raise this PF ever OOP against 1 opponent who limped 2 off the button. Against an unknown I lead the flop and fold to a raise. Unless they are raising with...

Re: Pretty simple 66

PF call is marginal. Maybe it's ok if the other guys spew after the flop. When the tag caps PF and a K hits on the flop then I am pretty much done with the hand. I don't think this is AQ often enough...

Re: A possible leak?

If you were in a blind war then this would be an auto-calldown for me. Since this is an UTG raise that you 3-bet it's a bit closer when he check raises and you should probably try to figure out how...

Re: 10NL -- VERY confused with AK here

I'm not sure what the purpose of your flop raise was, even though the betting in front of you made no sense. I’d rather keep the pot small and call. If you think it has a good chance of taking it...
