Yeah i didnt think of it like that, a tighty is more likely to raise up initially with AAxx than just call a raise.

Villan here was a reasonably tight player VPIP% 19 PRF - 6 Over 500 hands or so but ive noticed, tends to be aggressive on the hands he does play.

Thanks for the responses - I raised because (at the time it seemed a good idea) to disguise my hand a bit. I thought a big raise OOP was a bit of a giveaway, but maybe im better just value betting...

Id have raised to 500 or so on the flop. Hes indicating weakness by the bet. Show contempt for that poor raise and show him you mean business. Your call screams "im scared of the A cause i have a PP"...
