Re: Turn scare, Value bet river?
Why are you guys so eager to commit your stack when he could have a boat or outdraw on the river. If he's willing to call my reraise on the flop with the ace of diamonds he'll probably do so on the...

Turn scare, Value bet river?
He's a tight passive player that I've successfully defended my blinds against numerous times. Bet the river?

Good spot to push?...
Or is it a good way to lose my stack? Is this a set denying draws or a free card play? Would most sets do that...I was thinking it could have been a smaller overpair as well. So much to think...

Should I be avoiding these these types of pots?
Huge leak of mine seems to be when I flop top pair with a marginal hand especially when I'm in the BB. Should I not even bother to get involved with hands like these?

Do I push people out of pots too soon?
Here's a common occurrence in my game. I flop 2 pair or a set and I 3-bet them on the flop and they fold. Sometimes it works good and I make the pot huge but most of the time they just give the pot...

Re: Hmmm, what to do vs constant c-betters?
25NL and I've recently been trying to move up to 50NL, I noticed people play like this a lot more in 50NL and I'm sure it just gets worse and worse as you move up. I guess my post flop just sucks in...

Hmmm, what to do vs constant c-betters?
I play against this type of player in Full Ring- a tight player (12-15ish vpip) that always bets into me whether he hits or not. I don't like continuing into a hand when I've hit nothing so these...

Re: Flopped set on a bad flop
Ok lets say I 3-bet SB and button calls and SB folds. What's the plan for the turn if a safe card comes? He might already have me beat so how can I feel good about firing again?

Flopped set on a bad flop
I only called SB's bet because I was trying to keep the pot small (bad idea?). When the button raised I thought that was a sign of weakness -top pair pushing out flush draws...but maybe it was 2s 3s...

Re: New to 50NL - Getting pushed around
I was doing quite well until I lost two big pots to 2 outers and misplayed a few hands /images/graemlins/frown.gif I had a blast though and I can't wait to try again.

Let's say you took a great shorthanded player and put him at a full ring table. He folded everytime in early position and only played when everyone folds to the last 6 positions. So from his point...

Do I overbet my sets?
Pretty much what I do is if I ever flop a set and there are 2 suited or 2 to a straight I make a pot sized bet. I'm talking about flopping A,10,4 rainbow...making a set of 4's and I'll bet the pot...
