Re: Simple hand...no clue what the plan should be on the flop

You've got about 20BB and an M of around 13. Seems like a little short to be playing hands PF that are going to be slow to develope (if they even hit at all). Maybe just call? I think I would just...

1/45 A on turn might have me behind--what to do?

Okay, when both guys call my raise and then an ace comes on the turn I'm thinking I may be in trouble. BB checks to me. What's a good way to handle this situation? Thanks.

1/45 about 13 left facing push with TT

This initially seemed like an obvious push to me, but I hesitated because there were so many much bigger stacks yet to come. Any suggestions?

Re: 1+.25 45man JJ losing value quickly

Seems like he might have something like a couple high spades. Seems odd that he would semi-bluff two people, though. I guess the thing that makes me the most nervous here is that you still have...

Re: 1+.25 45man AQs desperate with a raise and call in front

You've got a pretty small M at this point. With an M that small I think you should be looking to be the first person in. Given that you've got two guys getting already in, I think I fold this PF.

1.20/45 four left in BB with A9o, small stack

What's the standard play here? Please note that I'm on the small stack with less than 6BBs.

1.20/45 JJ preflop with call and raise in front

This is probably an easy one, but for some reason I became very unsure when the betting got to me. What is the standard play here? Is it to make a pot-sized bet to isolate MP2? Thanks in advance....

Re: 88 on the button early on..

Min-raises from UTG make me very nervous. When he just calls your flop bet I think the alarm bells have got to be going off. Maybe I'm playing this weak, but I'm folding to his turn bet.

Re: Should i call this isolation raise with JJ?

But the BB saw you raise 3x from EP--doesn't that alone (not to mention the push from the button) suggest that his range is going to be tighter? The range you've indicated looks like a range that...

Re: Should i call this isolation raise with JJ?

I really appreciate this discussion of the side pot--I was too dense/inexperienced to even think about it. I think I've learned a lot from it. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

There is something I...

Re: Damn those aggro swedes

Would an 87, 88, or 99 be consistent with the villain's betting pattern? (I think I'm reaching a bit here for reasons not to fold!)

Re: Damn those aggro swedes

I see this as well. At what stack size (how many times the BB) would you stop making this call?

Thanks.

Re: Damn those aggro swedes

I get that argument.

What I'm wondering is how common is it for a BB to make this call PF with suited connectors (I'm assuming this is what we think he has). I would have to say that it's not a...

Re: Should i call this isolation raise with JJ?

Is the range that you would push with if you were shortie different from the range you're putting him on? If I was shortie, I just can't see myself pushing into an early position raiser with...

Re: Should i call this isolation raise with JJ?

I'm sure I'm stating the obvious, but I guess this all just comes down to what kind of hand you put the button on. He's at a stack size where you would think all he's going to be doing is pushing. ...

Re: Should i call this isolation raise with JJ?

I think the sequencing of bets is important as well. Button sees you raise 3x from early position. At this point in the game, I think he's got to put you on a decent hand. Also, assuming nobody...

Re: Should i call this isolation raise with JJ?

That's two pushes to you. Pot is 4615 (I think). You've got to put in 3120. Pot odds = 1.5. Do you win this 1/3 of the time? I'm thinking probably not. But, at best, it seems like it's close...

Re: 1.2/45 99 UTG

Re: 1.2/45 99 UTG

I can understand your argument. My normal PF raise is 3xBB, but, for whatever reason, I put in 4xBB here. I think I was trying to chase as many people as possible.

BTW, I did fold to the raise...

1.2/45 99 UTG

This kind of hand (mid-range PP) is a complete mystery to me. What's the standard way to play PF given that I'm UTG? Given my preflop raise, what's the next step? Guess this is why you don't play...

Re: $4.40/180 - Im probably behind here right? Turned 2pr in BB to b C/Red

I should have asked this in my other post--what do you think you're behind to? If he was sitting on TT or 99 it seems like he would have tried to reduce the competition a bit PF (at least try to...

Re: $4.40/180 - Im probably behind here right? Turned 2pr in BB to b C/Red

I'm thinking he's sitting on a couple of clubs, one of which is either a 10 or a 9. Maybe he figures that he may be behind, but he's got a good chance to improve and he might just take down the pot...
