Re: NL100 JJ in rrpot

Gotta bet the flop...I'd say $35 or so. Fold to a c/r.

As played call turn. Call with heart on River, fold to big bet non-heart, overcard river.

Re: 100NL: AA against strong line by villain

Not sure how you fold here. This is quite likely a flush draw or a flush draw with a Jack, or just a Jack.

I suppose the call-behind on flop and then lead on turn might make you pause and wonder...

Re: Unusual line

Paul I think this definitely works way more than it doesn't. Not sure what hand he could have and still call. Any ten without an Ace has got to put you on 2pair/set888/overpair here.

The only...

Re: AA Pukeaments?

I'm not following why we'd play this so weak?

Are we assuming he hit a set/2 pair or are are we afraid of fighting a flush/straight draw?

Personally I'd bet the full pot, and consider folding...

It's a well-known fact that Ivey is a big lifetime loser in the cash games. The only reason he's still in them is because the NAACP stakes him.

I'm no pro but I still don't understand the play. What could you put him on besides a big draw?

I guess if he makes that same play later when he really has the set that would be a good...

I like how PA and Benyamine rebuy just in case they double up. I wonder who is playing outside their bankroll limit at this table or if someone has there entire BR on the table.

Re: High Stakes Poker thread 3/26 (Ivey and others)

I don't get why Ivey's fold is such a big deal here.

Let's assume he reads Williams for an overpair, which would be correct here. When Williams bets the pot-plus, Ivey only has odds to call if he...

Wow what a rough spot. My gut feeling is that BB is drawing and was looking the whole time to make a big push move, so I would probably make a loose call here. Looks to me like his flop...
