Re: ESPN Enhances WSOP Coverage

It would be good if they display the chip counts and blind level. Nothing worse than hearing someone raise preflop to 5000$ and not knowing what the blinds are at.

Re: ESPN TV changes - 2007 WSOP

Disappointing to see less omaha and stud. They better show all of the games in the H.O.R.S.E event not just boring old holdem.

Re: Stud or Stud 8 Guaranteed Tourneys Online??

Yeah the WCOOP and FTOPS were good tourneys. I'm thinking more along the lines of a weekly or daily one though. I also found this one on UB. It's only a 500$ guranteed though. It's at 6:45pm and it's...

Re: You Asked for a Review of Stud at FTP, So Here It Is.

I have a love hate relationship with the stud hand history on FT. On one hand I like to see my opponents starting hands when it comes to the showdown. However, when I get sucked out on I'm none the...

Stud or Stud 8 Guaranteed Tourneys Online??

I'm making a list of online guaranteed tournaments for stud players. I only know of the 5k guaranteed on Party, and it starts too late for me, 1:20am my time /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

So I'll...

Re: An Unexpected Wager

Would this apponent possibly play a hand like 64(10) suited? If so this bet makes sense, otherwise it's very confusing. If he was rolled up he'd raise 5th, and the same if he had a big pocket pair.

Re: Stud 8 AA(x) Marginal???

That was a good read. Playing aces does have huge advantage over other high pairs besides it being the highest, you are taking away outs other low draws which is always good.

Re: Stud 8 AA(x) Marginal???

Run the same stats on over 10000 hands, but only from early postion and at loose low limit games and I think you'll find it's no powerhouse hand, it is good, but only slightly profitable.

The...

Re: Stud 8 AA(x) Marginal???

Sure at high limits it's a +EV hand, where players will fold marginal hands but go to a low limit game in EARLY position and see how it holds up. Or even a very loose medium limit game.

Stud 8 AA(x) Marginal???

This applies for low limit or generally very loose games where 4 or more players see 4th street. I've found that aces either split or wired in early position (ie. right after the bring in) tend to be...

Re: 2/4 Stud/8 from HORSE

I'd fold 4th, there's a very very good chance the 10 hit trips, PLUS you are very likely going to be fighting for only half even if you are ahead. I'd find a better spot to get my chips in.

Small pot stud 8

Say you're in early postion just after the bring in at a full table and you have 3 "decent" low cards that are definitely playable. For example 34(6).Behind you is one player with an A in the door...

Stars WCOOP PLO qualifiers

Man I hate the turbo qualifiers, by the time you build a decent stack of over 10k it's barely one all in move. If the big event isn't turbo neither should the qualifiers, takes the skill out of it...

Low limit stud 8 steals

Seems the bring ins on party poker won't fold their hands to an A in the door steal heads up. It's like they have 3 little winning lottery tickets and just won't let go. Just 10/20 and below, from...

Re: Who Do You Fear on Party?

LOL yeah you're right, but anybody on Party you have to at least watch this guy, or do your bankroll a favor and sit with him, BUT do so at your own risk, things can get crazy.

Re: WCOOP O8

Sounds like a good series of tournaments, but it's too bad they didn't have an overall point leader prize like on Full Tilt or Paradise Poker.

Re: Starting Thin

I like your river check, he was most likely on a diamond draw and he was either going to raise or fold. As far as a starting hand it's marginal but I like a raise on 3rd to see where the Queen is at.

Re: Who Do You Fear on Party?

ferrari456 on party 30/60 stud 8 is a complete maniac. Funny thing is he is very poor at reading hands, bets into made lows with crap, plays crap starting hands, his preflop raise % is over 35%, but...

Re: LO8B Blind defense/Blind steal standards

Good question I will admit this is the area with the most leaks in my game right now. Seems that 10/20 and up there are many more steal attempts when it's folded to late position. SS2 didn't really...

Re: $3/$6 Stud H/L Hand...I\'m a rookie with questions galore

This is a very weak hand for several reasons:

1) You have 2 overcards behind you yet to act
2) You're queens are split, they would be better wired with a baby showing but they would still be...

Re: FTOPS #3

Previous hand I let it go, would have won "half" but way to risky there. Pretty sure it's a standard fold with that heat on me.

Anyways I'm gone had to make a move here, 60 some players left with...

Wired aces low limit stud8 without a baby

Ok you're dealt AA(non baby) in a stud 8 game that's low limit (example 5/10$ or less). You're in early position and complete hoping to thin out the field a little. Like most low limit stud 8 games...
