Re: Have I gone mad? Raising the turn with ace high

I fold this PF. I don't like raising here at all, even if it is a LP player limping in front of you.

Having said that, I think if you're gonna make a move anywhere on this hand it would be the...

Re: Maybe Simple: Top Pair Hand

I like 3-betting PF here for information. If he caps, you can be certain he has AA-TT, AKs, AK, and AQs. If he calls, then you know his hand is weaker than the above range unless he's trying to be...

Re: Maybe Simple: Top Pair Hand

[ QUOTE ]
I def. fold preflop. And then I fold the flop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Re: How many fold this?

I'm not folding this, 3-betting or calling, either way I'm seeing a showdown.

Re: How to make the most here?

I like 1 & 3. But if I expect PF raiser to raise the flop, I would prefer:

Re: Check-raised with bottom pair in Blind Battle

I'd 3-bet PF. Flop looks good. Maybe I'm too weak-tight but I agree with folding to the turn c/r.

Raise QJo in blinds on LP table?

I'm in BB with QJo, UTG folds, 3 limps, SB calls. Should I just check or raise? I like to check here because I'm OOP and QJo is a troublesome hand.

Should I be limping in with Ax in SB?

Currently I'm following the full-ring strategy where I'm throwing away A8 and lower. Generally, I will complete with any 2 suited and JT-KT.

Re: Good but not Great: How Good is Your Limit Hold\'em

To anyone who've read this book - would this be a good read after SSHE? Or does HGIYLH contain too much of the same concepts presented in a different form?

When should I start reading TOP and HPFAP?

Since these books consist of advanced concepts should I wait until I move up to mid level stakes before reading them? I'm afraid after reading these two books I will start to give micro/small stakes...
