Re: A Master Plan?

[ QUOTE ]
I just wanted to make an off-the-wall speculation on what the master plan could be.

What if a site sets something up so that each individual player could have his or her own overseas...

Sklansky's old little booklet on Hold'em has a nice chapter on hand reading. Don't expect to be able to read hands in low limit online Poker though.

Re: EP in a passive game

Worst hands i'll play ep in a passive game is AJ, KQ, A9s, TJs and 77. For me to start playing below a9s or pocket pairs smaller than 77 the game also has to be very loose. To play a small pair u...

Re: Book recommendations for small stakes poker..??

Small stakes hold'em is best but I also enjoyed Mathew Hilger's Internet Texas hold'em(I know it says internet but that doesn't matter). Bobby Baldwins section in Superstyem is good regardless of...

Quality of hands 6handed vs 10handed first in mp

When i'm playing limit hold'em six way and come in utg i usually play pretty similar to the way i'd play 10handed if i was the first to come in in mp2 with 3 players left to act.

This may not be...

Re: 3/6 chip spewing with 99?

I c ur point squeek, I just think if you ran this scenario 100x's you would lose less by mucking to the checkraise on the flop. I would of had to of seen this guy make a play simiilar to this before...

I would stop on the flop as soon as I lost the lead, maybe he's bluffing but i would put him on ax. With the lead on the river maybe he had AK but i figure he woulda...

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

[ QUOTE ]

Suppose you call hu against an ep raiser with Axs and the flop comes A hi two rags. If you c/r this flop, some/most people might even be able to get away from a lower pair, because most...

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

Anybody here like reading Bobby Baldwin? In his biograghy he says one of the biggest mistakes is over valuing axs, in super system he says he would want nothing less than a premium hand to come in a...

You are better than 20-25% of the time to pair up or better. You are around 40% of the time with suited cards IF you are including getting your flush draw as "hitting"

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

If I smooth call, i almost always check raise the raiser if i'm playin to take the lead from him so he doesn't raise me with overcards. If he's passive i may bet into him to find out where i am.

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

okay, lets not say honest, seems to be confusing people. Lets say we can put him on a good hand from our reads and previous knowledge of his play.

Re: AA on a QQx flop ; capped 3 ways

I really don't like calling here, only thing u can beat is a bluff, and if he's not a bluffer or a semi bluffer, and he knows you have AA because you capped, I think it would be a fishy play to see...

Re: AA on a QQx flop ; capped 3 ways

I'd fold, the guy doesn't have AKs. If he was a bluffer or on tilt I might c him down, but i've found most cold 3bets on the flop to be a very solid hand. I would most likely give the guy credit...

Re: bankroll question (5/10)

I 4 table party 5/10 with 1500, when i go under 1000$ i play 3/6, $500 2/4 and I don't wanna think about worse than that. For some reason I kinda like playin 3 3/6 and 2 5/10's with 1500. I'll play...

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

Actually, if there's a cold caller and you have 22, and the raiser has a big pair, I think it would be a bad laydown. If the raiser has any type of hand, its bad.

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

I started the thread with it was an honest raise, so lets say its a nice hand like ak-ajs, AA-TT. A hand that realy puts ur hand in bad shape.

The reason you can play pairs at 1:5 is because your...

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

So some of you guys protect your blinds with axs to a raise with just one cold caller? This seems pretty loose to me, i really don't like to battle decent to premium hands, in small pots, out of...

Re: Protectin axs in the big blind

Say ep/mp raise, 5-8% pf raise so I'm not bankin on my ace. Just basically curious what type of odds i need on my money to try and hit the flush draw. Kinda like when u have a pair u want 1:5.

Re: raisin with trouble hands late pos

I wouldn't muck it, i usually put the rock on a mid pair opposed to aj/kq, and if he has me dominated i'll find out on the flop.

Protectin axs in the big blind

Say i'm in the big blind with axs and a fairly honest player comes in with a raise. I figure i'm 1:8 to flop a flush draw, so do I want 1:8 on my money or better to play this hand? Should i do it...
