Re: Barney Frank\'s Inconsistencies

Relax buddy, I was not trying to start a huge left/right debate.

It's great to have powerful guy like Frank behind this effort; my point it that it would be nice to have more pols like Ron Paul...

Barney Frank\'s Inconsistencies

I thought Frank's opening comments at the Financial Services committee were excellent, and he made a lot of good points about individual liberty.

Why doesn't he think these same principles apply...

Odds of AA Five Times in 60 Hands

Saw a guy at FullTilt get AA five times and KK once in 60 hands.

On average, you should get AA 0.27 times in that many hands, with a standard deviation of SQRT[(1/221)*(220/221)*60)] = 0.52

So...

Re: NL Bots on Full Tilt

Just saw full_tilting limp for $2 in MP, then fold when the BB made it $4 more (getting more than 2 to 1 odds.) This might be a very exploitable weakness. Has anyone else seen it make similar weak...

Re: Why the huge volume on Full Tilt???

I'm starting to wish FullTilt would get rid of Sit & Gos so all these fish stay in the cash games.

Re: \"time to time, everyone goes bust\" - true?

Chris Ferguson has a general rule: never buy in for more than 5% of your bankroll, and leave the table if you ever get up over 10% of your bankroll.

Using this system I think it would be near...

When does Epassporte freeze your account?

I've heard that after $5k they freeze you and ask for more documents, and with their [censored] customer support the whole process can take months.

Is it when your account balance exceeds $5,000...

Don\'t forgot Mel Watt

Barney Frank is our #1 man for sure, but Mel Watt is also a very influential member of the Financial Services committee. He was the only Congressman from North Carolina to vote against HR 4411. Let's...

Full Tilt Tables Softer After Doyle\'s Room Merger?

Has anyone else noticed this? On a 100,000 hand sample from 0.25/0.50 NL tables, average VP$IP prior to merger was 25.08, and tonight I played 1,800 hands, average VP$IP was 28.16 -- I know its a...

Re: Epassporte speeding up?

My micro-deposits took over a week to show up, then I made my first deposit and it appeared on my on-line bank statement two days later. I get a message when I login saying the money won't be...

Re: MyWebATM on Full Tilt?

Just to clarify something, their signup form IS SECURE, its just put inside an non-secure frame or something, so thats why the little lock doesnt show up. Your personal info is safe, (at least from...

If ever there was a doubt about Jamie Gold...

Anyone see him on Poker After Dark in that pot against Doyle? He min check-raises the turn with nothing, and then bluffs $2,000 into a pot of $7,000 on the river.

Can anyone think of a worse...

Re: I DUNNO HOW TO PLAY V. THIS WEIRD TAG

For those who advocate a bet, what hands that call a bet do we beat here? AA and AK?

Re: The good news, PPA Pres Bolcerek is friends with Pelosi....

Pelosi voted in favor of HR4411 I can't imagine she is that friendly toward on-line gaming.

Democrats for the most part consider this a non-issue and will probably not make it a priority in either...

Re: $200 NL why can\'t I fold QQ here?

Raise to 44 on the flop. Bet 2/3P on the turn, and yes fold to a CRAI.

Re: 1-2 NL: A-A c/r on flop. DEEP

Is there any way that Villian would play a set like this? If he thinks you're a donk calling station wouldn't he just get the money in on the flop, especially with you 3-betting?

His play is...

Re: NL200: AA - valuebet river?

There's no way Villian is checking a better hand here. Not sure if Villian is calling a pot sized bet so I'd say make it 90 or so. Call a push.

Re: where is the fold button?

I think calling is slightly better than CR here. Although you're probably ahead, we don't want to be playing a huge pot against this guy with bottom two pair. I'd say call and lead 1/2 to 2/3 on the...

Re: Line Check -- 55 on button, weird betting.

Massive overbets at these stakes are the nuts much more often than a bluff. This is one of those situations where you are definitely beat, but not quite sure how. I don't think there's any way you...

Re: 400NL. JJ in a tough spot.

A check/call is weak but it might be the right play here. I think we can pretty much rule out a flush draw with no pair, since he is passive and can just check the turn to peel one off.

What...

Re: 88 2nd pair value push

I think a timing read on the flop would be helpful here. If Villian has Qx he would probably think about your flop raise and then call. On the other hand, if he calls the flop raise immediately and...

Re: Is this an awful fold?

You're probably beat but this is an instacall. The odds are just too good. I'm more worried about [Ah Jh] or some other rivered hand than a set.

Re: 2/4 6m, PS, AA

A pot-sized raise on the turn would be $135 total ($115 on top of the original bet). Villian is drawing dead here a good amount of the time, and I'm a little worried that a pot-sized check raise will...
