I've been playing "professionally" for 3 years+ now and this happens to me in periods when I play a lot.

I've had the same happen to me whenever I've had periods where I've been into any other...

Re: Going for Supernova Elite? Progress Thread

I should be on track to hit 80 k vpps tonight.

Yup, I also think the games are noticably tougher these last few days, and on top of that I'm on a pretty sick bad run. Horrible week where I've just...

Supernova Elite Quest

So, how's it going with the other elite grinders? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hardest week so far for me, mostly because it's been a pretty busy week outside of poker.

Sitting at only 57 vpps...

Re: Going for Supernova Elite? Progress Thread

Been harder to motivate myself this week.

I'm a little behind schedule after a not-so-good start vpp-wise this week (was pretty tired Monday after staying up all night watching a player I had...

Re: I\'m on pace for 2 million FPPs this year, need a little help

I seem to make about the same amount of points in nl200 and nl400, and for me there's actually very little difference even between nl600 and nl200. (difference is maybe 10-15% for my style)

Re: Going for Supernova Elite? Progress Thread

43 k vpps, which means I can take pretty much the rest of the weekend off if necessary. (my goal = 22 k vpps a week, so that I can make it this year and still being able to take 6-7 weeks off)

Re: Anyone up for a friendly challenge as we go for SuperNova Elite?

It's probably a good idea in some cases, but I prefer to keep my sessions at 4 hours maximum, so I'm out /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I also do maximum 11 hours of poker in a day. (8250 hands)

Re: Going for Supernova Elite? Progress Thread

31 k vpps here.

Oh, and I'm even winning this week (so far) /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Goal by end of week = 44 k

This is easy, I think maybe they should make the supernova elite level a...

Re: PokerStars Prediction

I agree.

Pretty often I find that some of those 12 tables I have running are filled with regulars only.

I love the Supernova Elite promotion though and in the grand scheme of things I doubt it...

The games are going to get tougher.

Not because of the supernova elite promotions, but because the games have consistently and gradually become tougher in the last 3...

Re: Count-Down to SN Elite Chase!!

You have a point that 8 hours of poker isn't exactly 8 hours in real life.

To be as efficient as I can, I keep every session to 3-4 hours.

So, that's 3-4 hours without any kind of break, not...

12 Tabling for 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, all year, realistic?

Re: Supernova Elite

lollerific.

I'm down about 10 buy-ins (nl400&nl600) since my peak yesterday.

So now I'm break-even for 2007 if I count the bonus as profit. (which I shouldn't)

About 2 of those buy-ins was...

For the record: I don't believe Stars is rigged.

But I've run bad enough that I certainly can understand the paranoid thoughts that may come creeping on you when you run really bad for a while.

Re: Supernova Elite

I run terrible on Stars too.

Neverending sickening run of 2-outers etc.

But I'm still up a little with that truly pathetic winrate of mine, and I keep grinding.

I'm playing like 2 million...
