Err, that move is annoying and as bobby said, is negated by good players with blocking.

My favorite move is Shiek's up+a ariel, it's an amazing finisher after a couple of juggles.

Fox and Falco are the two best characters because of their speed. They are followed by Sheik and Marth. If you like power Ganondorf/Captain Falcon can hold their own.

A decent strategy if you are...

The paintball gun is probably more dangerous for your child than an actual gun (temptation and risk of chew/choking on the paintballs).

Given that, the taser is your best option.
