Re: Weird Pokerstove Hand
QQ makes more straights than KK.
QQ vs 45s/76s splits more pots than KK vs 45s/76s.
QQ vs 76s, 89TJ gives QQ the higher straight.

Re: A hard liar/truthteller type puzzle
[ QUOTE ]

Then again, with your lineup, it looks like you may be talking about the line method and not the pair method, so I may just be confused here.

This pair method seems to work. Can someone post a lineup in terms of KKSSSKKKKKKSKSKSKKKKK.... etc where it doesn't work? And yes I will consider the worst case answers.

Re: A hard liar/truthteller type puzzle
There are other ways of saving questions on 'countback'. Say you need to find at least 10 more Knights and the last 20 people in the line is a knight chain of 20 knights, you can start half way...

Re: A hard liar/truthteller type puzzle
Nice puzzle guys, I'm working on some kind of recursive method.
Since it appears you need 2 real Knights next to each other in any chain to proceed (why the original puzzle specified more knights...
