The minraise from CO is sort of confusing, he doesn't really have enough chips to do any raise...

Re: AA misplayed?

I tend to agree with OP that his AA is beat on this turn and river.

Here are the plausible hands that beat him:

66, 55, 44, 65s (any suit), 54s (any suit), A5s (any suit), KQ...

Re: hand range for calling preflop raises from bb in limit O8

Thanks for another detailed response... much to chew on here!

Looking through this post and some others, it seems one of the hardest thing for a hold'em player (or any omaha newbie) to figure out...

Re: hand range for calling preflop raises from bb in limit O8

hey 1MoreFish,
I read your reply with interest... I can see the whole question of blind play is a tough one.

I'm wondering in your database whether you went through all the hands where you were...

Re: hand range for calling preflop raises from bb in limit O8

Buzz and Rush,
Thanks for your great responses... I can see it's not as simple a question as I might have thought!

Based on your comments I'll go the conservative route until I learn the game...

hand range for calling preflop raises from bb in limit O8

I'm a longtime Hold'em player but new to Omaha8. I've looked around a bit but can't find an answer to this newbie question about playing limit:

Re: New to this game - how do you play this river?

Wouldn't it be better to just check/call this river? Not much to be gained by betting out, since even a pretty loose villian won't call with without a boat or another KT in his hand. So you don't...

Re: Final table button push... would love feedback

Thanks for the responses...

Some say push was right, some say fold, some say raise 2x or 2.5x... so i guess this was a borderline type situation.

4card I'm starting to think you're right about...

Final table button push... would love feedback

hey folks,
Wondering if my push on the button w/A5o was a bit premature, or whether I made a standard play. This was the final table of a 45 person $20+2 on FT.

No unusual reads on the blinds,...

Re: looking for particular type of odds chart or formula

hey Utz,
Thanks for trying to put this through the ringer.

I don't have time at the moment to think it all through, but my one comment offhand is that for the purposes of this sort of...

Re: looking for particular type of odds chart or formula

Thanks for the link. That chart is interesting... although it's a little too much information for my little brain to process while sitting at the poker table! Looking through the chart, it's...

Re: looking for particular type of odds chart or formula

hey Utz,
Thanks for the response.

I agree there are lots of clear situations where you have to just push with any playable hand when you're in late position and the stack is small. Then you can...

Basically, I want to know what the odds are of a particular...
