Re: Back to the basics: push/fold decisions

I'm very, very confused as to how you guys are figuring you should fold the first one, anyone mind explaining their reasoning?

Re: Another non constructive I hate Party thread

It's fascinating that there wasn't even an "estimated date of release," nobody was expecting an upgrade from party, and yet they released it so unprepared. They could've taken all the time in the...

Re: Huge problems with PartyPoker...I think it ate all my image files?

Only 3 .jpgs left in Program Files.
Only MS Office .ico's left, all other .ico's are deleted.

Truly great.

Re: Huge problems with PartyPoker...I think it ate all my image files?

The update installed into C:\, and I wanted to re-install it into Program Files; I uninstalled PP, and downloaded it straight from the site, and installed it into Program Files.

Sound familiar?...

Re: Huge problems with PartyPoker...I think it ate all my image files?

I also couldn't intercept the installation fast enough to salvage the complete Images folder, I can only grab it just before its done.

What a disaster this has been.

Re: Huge problems with PartyPoker...I think it ate all my image files?

Oh [censored].............. [censored].
I thought it only ate its own Images file... I was wondering why Daemon tools couldn't find its icon file...
What is this crap?

Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#4 of 4.)

The installation deletes the Images folder at the same time it opens the "Installation complete" page... then, obviously, all the images are missing and I can't open any tables.

Thank God for this...

Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#4 of 4.)

I just downloaded it, and its installing the 90/90 version; not to mention its not installing the Images folder.

This began as a good day/easy update, but this is just getting ridiculous.

Re: For all you PT fools

PA Hud doesn't need an update.

Options -> Preferences -> Party & Skins tab.

Add the new PartyGaming folder, it should work as before.

Re: Calling from the BB with a small pair, playing for set only.

I'm really not too comfortable with c/ring a bare small pair on a flop against a steal. I start to feel like I'm spewing when he calls my flop raise, and I'm stuck with the impetus on the turn and...

Re: Calling from the BB with a small pair, playing for set only.

What I can post, due to my sample size, are hands where I call the BTN raise with 22-66, check the whiffed pot, and fold to his contiuation bet.

So I wanted to go "behind the scenes" and see for...

Calling from the BB with a small pair, playing for set only.

This is a theoretical question; I want to work on my poker math, for I believe it will further my understanding of every situation.

By the way, the questions I ask are not rhetorical. Every...

Re: timid value bets or just donkalicious?

I'd 3-bet the turn, call cap, and check-call river.
I hate it when I'm calmed down by villain here and go into check-call mode and find out he had T9/AQ, missing value bets everywhere... Notice this...

Re: passively played draw

Your "bet, check-call brick, bet 3rd club river" screams flush draw, don't expect to get paid off too often.

On the turn, you're drawing to 9 outs to the nuts, and a possible 3 outs to an ace that...

Re: Call down?

If said UTG is very LAGgy, you don't have to worry about his betting, I consider LAG betting like background noise.

He's betting his diamonds, AX, KX, 88, etc. The T is always a possibility, but...

Re: Easy check/fold?

Bad read.

I actually checked, and so did he.

Another 9 came on the river. I checked again, he bet, I called a single bet to see my opponent flip over K9.

My plan was to easily check/fold to...

Re: Easy check/fold?

Well, I'm thinking how I'd play if the situations were reversed.

I'd raise for a free card with 2 clubs, KT, KJ, QT, etc and simply call the flop when my free-card attempt fails.

The T is such...

Re: (2/4sh) SB defense against bluffer

I fold preflop, and then on the flop.
Let it go, pick a better place to fight him.
