Re: Psy. Of Poker & Inside Poker Mind, read which one first?

By far, Inside the Poker Mind is the much more useful book.

I thought Psychology of Poker, although interesting in some parts, was a fairly dull waste of time.

Re: Hold \'Em Poker - Gary Carson

IMO, one of the best Limit hold'em books ever written.

Re: Caro\'s Book of Poker Tells

I couldn't agree more. Both are great books (although I was slightly disappointed with Read'em after all the hype). Both books will offer you a ton of insight on the various tells in live poker.

Re: Only read Limit books - which is best NL to start?

While I'm partial to my book "Mastering No-Limit Hold'em" (some on this board disagree, and others really liked it), I will say that "NL Holdem Theory and Practice" from Sklansky is a simply...

Re: Mastering No Limit Hold’em by Russell Fox & Scott T. Harker

You might want to read the book (and my comments in this forum) before writing things that are simply not true at all.

First, regardless of my stack size, I'm not "happily" calling a UTG raiser...

Re: Mastering No Limit Hold’em by Russell Fox & Scott T. Harker

Mason, what did I say bad about 2+2? My only comments regarding the company were that without the books written by you and David (and a few others), I probably wouldn't be playing because I would...

Re: Mastering No Limit Hold’em by Russell Fox & Scott T. Harker

I agree, it would be. However, I don't feel it necessary to sit here all night and try to defend every little contrary opinion on the book.

Re: $109 5 handed T2 sb push/fold?

Is this a Turbo? Actually, I take that back. I fold here. You're just not strong enough to get a call from anything decent defending his tiny stack against a probably steal.

I really think his...

Re: Mastering No Limit Hold’em by Russell Fox & Scott T. Harker

Fair enough. some of my comments were out of frustration. for that, I apologize to "binions", you, and anyone else I might have insulted.

I believe that if you're not buying in for the maximum...

*DISCLAIMER*
My comments on 2+2 are in no way intended to represent the thoughts of my co-author, Russ Fox. I'm sure he's not happy with me writing a single word here, but I'd like to say a few...

Re: Mastering No Limit Hold’em by Russell Fox & Scott T. Harker

Of course, if "2+2" was on the cover, I'm sure you'd be rather impressed.

And it's funny that you once commented that we don't discuss stack sizes. You've obviously not read the entire book. ...

Re: Mastering No Limit Hold’em by Russell Fox & Scott T. Harker

I think too many people who took a look at our book didn't read the introduction. It's a beginner's guide. I'm assuming that you personally have plenty of NL experience, so perhaps this book...

Nit? My friend, I'm a lot of things, but nit isn't one of them! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

And for the record, I play $5/$10 NL on occasion.
