Re: Time to gamble?

[ QUOTE ]
Best case scenario is that you're 60% vs two broadway cards or whatever. Worst case scenario, he has 44+ or A5+, or one of the three players behind you picks up a big hand. I prefer to...

Re: 16t - let\'s not gogogo, what r u doing buddy?

I understand your point. Another poster made a comment about my ranges, and that was the toughest decision to make in my analysis. I wish there was an easy way for me to weight the various...

Re: 16t - let\'s not gogogo, what r u doing buddy?

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to this. I should have stated that I would do the math after my dentist appointment, putting the kid to bed, and putting in quality time with the wife.

Re: 16t - let\'s not gogogo, what r u doing buddy?

When I get home from work, I will, but for now, if you don't believe me look up the Sklansky-Chubuhov numbers on various hands (I have the chart in the new NLHE book but I know there are links to...

Re: 16t - let\'s not gogogo, what r u doing buddy?

I'm considering the best scenarios because if things don't go the way I hope I can cheerfully fold with most of my stack intact. If I don't see the flop with A7, I'm fine with that. If someone bets...

Re: 16t - let\'s not gogogo, what r u doing buddy?

One more comment, by raising $500 you are actually increasing the range of hands that will re-raise. This is because you have basically turned the hand into a blind steal situation for any one of...

Re: 16t - let\'s not gogogo, what r u doing buddy?

I'm not so much concerned with not being able to play correctly post-flop as with using the pre-flop play to set up a favorable post-flop situation. If it is checked to me, I would bet most flops...

Re: 16t - let\'s not gogogo, what r u doing buddy?

Hand 2:

According to the Sklansky-Chubukov ratings, you should push A7o (as opposed to folding) on the button when you have less than 15xBB. So pushing>folding here.

You might consider just...

Re: $6.50 - Two L2 hands I feel I sucked at

Hand one I fold the flop. Your overs have to be discounted somewhat and your position relative to the raiser is poor.
6:1 just isn't good enough.

Hand two, I think is okay, only for the reason...

Re: Party $6 Speed, Bubble Push UTG

I like the push better than the 3xBB raise, because I don't think it's a clear fold when Button puts you all in.

If button pushes, you will be getting about 1.9:1. You are a 2:1 dog against a...

Re: does an expert fold this?

Some pretty rough math:

Say your opponents will call with any pair and any broadway (pretty loose for this situation).

That is 17.5% of hands. So the chances that one or the other will call is...

3 handed in SB - BB is way loose

I am hoping someone can indulge my rather open-ended question. I am pretty new to SNGs after playing limit and no-limit ring for about 2 years. I figure this situation has to come up a lot in the...

Re: I am losing with AJo. Please comment my play

[ QUOTE ]
Btw. Played 16k hands of nl 10. Something like 140 hands with AJo. I know the call of the flop probably was wrong. My throughts were: Q non clubs gives me the nuts. My odds for hitting is...

Re: how much $/hr can u expect to make bonus whoring

Currently I am playing 1/2, and here are my approximate rates:

Absolute (2 tabling, 9 handed) $5 hr
Over the summer I 3-tabled at 6max and cleared about $10 every 50 minutes or so

Party (2...

Sorry, I didn't mean that he would be pushing a draw on this particular hand - just that is my note on him. I am guessing he has top pair, maybe A5.

Re: QJs - mutiple weak draws, multi-way pot

another oversight - yes, BB folded on the flop as well. Now it is just me, SB, and the two players behind me

QJs - mutiple weak draws, multi-way pot

This hand is similar to one of the examples in SSHE dealing with the Free Card Play. I am wondering if people would advocate a similar flop play, or if my draws/position are too weak to justify it....

Re: heads up g00t or spew

I would bet the flop. If you are ahead, Villain probably has 6 outs and shouldn't be calling a flop bet. If he raises, I would call. He may take a free turn card, in which case I would bet the...
