Re: NL400 thin value shove???

If I bet 1/3 pot it was to induce a shove, because I think his hand is pretty obvious and even Q-T is a bit worried I 2 barrelled AK into the nuts

NL400 thin value shove???

Villain is 26/15/2.5 over 1800 hands. My notes on him say, min check raises sets and made a really questionable call with top pair weak kicker on a 4 way flop. I have never seen him show down a major...

NL400 BvB combo draw... flop raise=?

I'm running 20/15/5 over ~160 hands at this table and have been playing mostly bet/raise or fold poker and have rarely gone to showdown (~12%)
Villain and I have both been attempting to isolate one...

Nl100- flop set, flush hits river

Main Villain is FTPickle who I view as straightforward, not all that creative, and tends to have what he represents. My stats on him after ~750 hands is 24.5/11.5/2.5. I have been running 23/20/2.75...

NL50 KK 300BB deep

converter isn't working for whatever reason so I tried to do this my self.

Villain and I have some history. He is 25/21/4.5 over 400 hands. At this table I am 21/16/1.6 for about 300 hands. He...

Re: Hero rivers straight...shove from loose passive villain

The reason I'm thinking of folding is his 0.5 agression and his >100BB bet on the river, If it's a pure bluff good for him, but the best I can see is a split...

two pair in a deep unraised pot

Villain is 24/14/5 and has seen me semibluff a flop all in with overs and nut flush draw and suck out vs a set. I'm running 22/18/4 at this table. What the heck can we put villain on here? Does he...

Hero rivers straight...shove from loose passive villain

Villain is something like 42/10/0.5 hes called a few c-bets from me and folded a turn bet. His river shove made me stop in my tracks... up to that point I was really value betting/semi-bluffing...

Re: NL 25 Flopped set on dry board

I'm not folding in fear of it, but that's what I'm afraid of. As soon as I read the post i thought 99 made sense. He is 13/9/1.8 He doesn't limp and doesn't call raises preflop often and the 4%...

Re: How to calculate EV here?

another way to think of it is you'll win 25 dollars 30% of the time: 25*.3= 7.5
and you'll lose 9 dollars 70% of the time: 9*.7= 6.3

7.5-6.3= 1.2= +EV

Re: How to calculate EV here?

They way i think about this is that if we take the average of the outs on the flop and turn (8.5) multiply it by 4 (flop rule of 4) and we get 34% to win or about 2-1 against (poker stove gave me...

Re: 99 hit boat on river...how is my play here??

I would guess if he's calling 2 more dollars he'll call 3.70 he doesn't wanna be left with a tiny stack, he'd rather lose it all or win as much as possible. Get as much value out of all the crap he's...

Re: 99 hit boat on river...how is my play here??

Preflop is fine. Flop is terrible... what are you trying to do betting 1/4 the pot? 3/4 pot may take this down or hopefully identify if your opponents are on flush draws, weak king, or ace king. You...

Re: $10NL QQ - OOP Oh look an overpair.

Being this deep makes me more likely to fold considering how dry this flop is and 28/7 suggests he could call with a small pair and maybe as much as JJ. I would like a call and re-revaluate, if he...

Re: Simple $25NL question

What about the times you flop top pair and have not control over the pot size (as you're oop) and have no idea where you stand? What kind of flop are you hoping for? The only one I'd feel comfortable...

QQ overpair with a pot sized donk bet

Villain is 50/10 with flop agression of 5 over 60 hands. I've seen him pot the flop and turn with nothing before and I've seen him bet smaller than the pot with decent hands.
He probably views me as...

Re: 50NL 6max top set no good?

I think this is a spot to overbet the turn and avoid this situation on the river. Also, table selection sucks, I hate playing at a table full of short stacks. As played I just can't fold this river...

Re: Is this a CF

I c/f the flop a lot, but c-bet sometimes as well because most people won't continue without and ace. The amount is fine with three players because you want to charge them if they're drawing. Vs one...

Any reads or stats? Poster UTG with half a buy in we can assume he's not all that good, A flush draw would make sense, although I don't know if he would bet the FD and something like j-10s makes...

Re: NL10 Boat on 4 hearted board

I like a check here, makes it look like the 4th heart scared you. A Small flush probably folds to your river bet and the nut flush most likely raises, but by checking we get tons of value out of...

Re: NL50 | Fold Equity vs Regular

don't fold! The one nice thing about a min raise is the odds it gives you. I haven't played with this villain in a long time, but I have him at 16/13 (at NL25) and I have seen him do something like...

Re: QTs - dubious preflop call, but standard call bluff?

[ QUOTE ]
Marginal EV+ spots are better to avoid due to two reasons:
1) limited bankroll;
2) emotional tendencies of human beings to tilt.

[/ QUOTE ]

1) If so, quit playing with a limited...

Re: Facing a Turn C/R w/ a set.

I guess I don't mind letting him draw with j-10 because if he misses we may get his money when he shoves the river and if we re-raise the turn he may (?) fold. I don't think there is a bad play here,...
