Re: $4/180 - Final heads up hand
I think everything is standard until the river (heads up is all about the player, so only you know if your flop / turn call is good). Your river bet as a bluff is fine. Once he c/r you, I would...

Re: sweet angle
I do this all the time, particularly if I want the dealer to count my chips for me (so that I don't give something off). No one's ever forced me to bet my chips when I've done this; can they?

Re: live tell at the final table
[ QUOTE ]
What's teh stack size here? I.e what would be making him stressed? If he had raised 1/3 of his stack then he could be real worried that you are going to re-raise him.
But if you are...

Re: live tell at the final table
What kind of tells can be derived from legs? A lot of times I can guess comfort level by the way the arms come to rest and villain is anticipating my decision, but can you articulate the motions of...

Re: live tell at the final table
Ok so there are a lot of variables. From a female player I would expect this to be a very strong almost always (would you agree?).
Villain here was male, 40ish, slightly overweight, above average...

live tell at the final table
If a players neck pulse is throbbing at the final table of a live 1K 200-250 person event after he has made a standard raise preflop and you are staring him down in the BB, what does that mean?...

Re: I\'ll show you.....
What he says is not nearly as important as how he says it. You should immediately engage in conversation with him to see how comfortable he is once he opens his mouth. FWIW, I've done this with a...

Re: Chiprunner income(LC)
I don't know about LA, but I actually asked one yesterday. He said $9/hr + tips (SF), and I said what does that come to $20/hr? And he nodded. This thread was well worth the 500 post milestone I've...

Re: 3 players in the hand 1 disqualified
Anyone that knows anything about poker knows that the reason people can't show hands prematurely in tournaments is because even people that folded preflop can be directly effected by the end result...

Re: very strange live spread limit hand
I think sb very rarely has a K here (<10%). Why would a good player risk a K getting checked through on the river without getting value in this enormous pot. Is the river bet worth it to try to push...

I would not be posting this if I thought I played the hand properly. The reason I posted in this forum is because I figured that the limit players would have a better feel for the mathematics of the...

Re: rounders - AA999 v. AAA99
For one thing, betting 2x pot is standard in that movie on most streets. And 10x preflop raises with KK heads up. And 3 bets to 5x reraises etc. KGB reraises Mikes 1000 bet (with KK) to 5000.

So the game is 2-3-5 spread limit with blinds of $2 on button, $3 for sb, and $5 for bb. It is $10 to call preflop (with a max raise amount of 200). I am posting in this forum because I think this...

Re: Taj floor decision 2/5 nl
In a lot of places a raise is possible if the previous raise was >= 1/2 of the first raise. Here russian raises 63 to 198 which is >= (125/2 = 62.5), and hence a raise should be allowed under these...

Re: Set mine in multiway pot
To all those saying no, we only have to make like 400 to break even and our relative position is good. Can you make an argument on why we cannot make > 1 pot sized bet profit postflop?
