Re: Mid-Limit in Atlantic City
Kind of repeating advice, but...
Start with the 10-20 at the Borgata. If you're up for more of a challenge move up. If you start disliking the Borgata, move on over to the Taj.
FWIW, either the...

Re: Problems at the Taj last weekend
Low stakes, action players, likelihood that dealer would keep the Asian players honest.
Again, it's 3-6 - so if it's a good table, try to just enjoy it. Sometimes, it's worth it to take the good...

Re: LV vs. AC
Still, I flew Spirit, ACY to LVS for $79 a couple of weeks ago.
Haha, maybe that's why they aren't so profitable. Still, the plane was almost full - would be poor planning if they could break even...

Re: LV vs. AC
There's a good chance you'll see the 4-8 at the Wynn play more like a Borgata 3-6/2-4 simply because thats the lowest limit game spread at the Wynn. Whereas, the Borgata has the 2-4 and 3-6 to absorb...

Re: Where does the term straddle come from?
The term straddle means to "bridge" two opposite sides/concepts.
I'd make the connection that one is bridging the first to act and last to act spots by straddling.
You also have the financial...

Re: Ever Been Threatened in a Card Room?
Not sure why you keep referring to a 300 chip pot.
If anything, it seems like the whole sunglasses thing you did and how you got the whole table to laugh at him that did it. I guess he saw that as...

Re: Question for B&M pros
I think the first reply put it well. You want to bring enough to give you enough play in case you get stacked, but you really want to protect yourself from the tilt loss phenom that can kick in after...

Re: Stradling at the 10/20 Borgata
I would suggest stop being such a hater. And brush up on your poker terminology. "straddle to $30," indeed. You'd be re-straddling or raising his blind raise depending on the specifics.

Re: Would you let him off
I'd need a lot more incentive to let him off than what you've given. Seems you handled it well.
FWIW, if I don't see chips in the middle (or see that all-in card they use in some places now), I...

Re: Borgata trip report
flush/opened ended hits on turn? Wow, that's sick.
set fills up on the river? Even sicker.
Top pair/flush draw doesn't hold up. Sickest of all.
Amazing how you can still play poker after...

Re: Borgata Poker Room Rates
Jeffage has most of the details. Some additional randoms....
It is $100 for Sun-Thurs. You usually don't need to book ahead - though for some reason, this past Sunday, nothing was available at the...

Re: Borgata 5/10 and 10/20 NL developments
Hmmm. You're both risking 2,500. It's sort of irrelevant that he has 9,000 behind him. It's the same as a short-stack having 9,000 more in their pocket.
In effect, it's NOT IN PLAY when it's heads...

Re: out of action person bets, angleshoot????
Angles have to be a bit sketchier than that.
It's only an angle if the hero deliberately induces or somehow "tricks" OOT player to trigger action.
FWIW, Borgata already forces the raise. Not...
