I think he means in a specific hand both players can play correctly. Over the course of thousands of hands it becomes clearer that one player plays better.
I would raise pre-flop with AQ suited...

Re: Fold my boat on two pair board?
Call. Tight and loose don't matter for reads, nor does aggression factor. You just can't give credit for the two hands that beat you when you have a full house(3-3/6-7). Not at these stakes anyway.

Re: The Ceiling Concept
The ceiling concept could apply at different stakes - you can only win so much playing 100NL. You could increase this if the stakes became 200NL so you should move up (this assumes your skill in...

Re: 3 hands vs donk
Value bet hand 1
Fold turn or call river in hand 2. He's more likely to have an 8/9 and think its good than have a 4. A flush is possible but not likely and you can't give him credit for it after...

Stars and Full Tilt will have MTT SNG at low stakes at any time. I'd reccomend one of them.

Re: SnG (3$) - KJo
With blinds as they are and KJ being strong push pre-flop. When blinds get this high you can either push or fold.
On the flop consider:
-Your pot odds are about 4 to 1
-You may already be...

Re: $1.20 PS Hindsight Played this too hard?
I don't usually slow-play 2 pair so i would lead out on the flop. With 5 players deception is even less important. EDIT: Bet a little more - about 130.
On the turn i would bet slightly less than...

Hold \'em Poker for Advanced Players
I have a couple of questions on HPFAP:
IS HPFAP mostly limit or no limit?
Can the theory be applied to both?
Is it a worthwhile read or is it outdated?
What was your general opinion on...

Re: TT utg... ack
I prefer betting the flop. You have a chance of taking the pot down now and can fold if your opponent plays back strongly. When you check your opponent is almost forced to bet so you don't find out...

Re: Is this a \"bad beat\" or just poor playing ?
In early position, 66 is really too weak to play unless the table is really passive. Even if this is the case you should be able to play well post-flop and you should raise 3/4 x BB from UTG.
When...

Re: AJo in BB - resteal?
This isn't a steal.
You can't re-steal when someone is All-In.
Your probably against JJ/AQ/AK. Something strong that he doesn't want to play post-flop. FOLD.

If you re-pop the flop and he shoves you fold for cheaper than calling down to the end.
If you play passively against aggressive opponents you will have no idea where you are and end up being in...

Check and call a shove. He might shove with some hands we beat but its less likely he'll call with those hands.

Re: 50NL: Question about c-betting shortstacks
Hand 1: You don't need to C-bet as much against short stacks. $2 would probably be enough. As played - call if they are likely bluffing (if you have a read). Otherwise i'm probably folding.
Hand...

Re: 50NL: I 4bet QQ against TAG
I don't mind 4 betting if you've seen him bluff aggressive players before. Otherwise calling and evaluating is better. Easy fold to the shove.

I like the call pre-flop. It controls volatility more and allows you to evaluate the flop. Re-raising is also a good move and depends on how you like to play. Except against the tightest of villains,...

Re: [NL 50] Pocket Aces - Time to slow down ?
I like all plays.
You played the Aces perfect.
The BB probably realised you were strong when you lead out and didn't want to scare you if you were C-betting. I like his play.
BTW, you can...
