Re: A hand that was probably misplayed
I don't MIND the 3 bet on the flop, but... Ugh... CO coldcalling for 3 bets on the flop is a dead give away that he is on a heart draw or a straight draw, perhaps a slowplayed JJ or 99. Either way...

This has troubled me...
4/8 live
Raised UTG from a player who has been playing loose, but I have not noticed anything strange from his preflop raises. Player UTG+2 has been at the table for 30 mins maybe and has gone...

Re: check/fold river with midpair, small pot
Is betting this turn a mistake because we pay the same price to c/c the river and giving a free card doesn't really hurt us? ie the only card that really screws us up is possibly an A?
edit: Is JT...

Re: .25-.50 6max - fold river?
I hate the flop call. I either fold or raise. A raise saves you half a bet if you are detemined to showdown (unless you get 3 bet or donked into on the turn in which case I am folding the turn UI)...

Re: I don\'t know what to do...
I call pf and the action changes on the flop.
We check the flop UTG1 bets and SB c/r. We are faced with 2 cold getting 4.5:1 to call. We have 3 clean out to the T and a club T gives us flush...

Re: 99 BB raise or call preflop?
I don't play this high, but I like a 3 bet to make it 2 cold to our limpers because I would really like them both to fold, but I also like limping and play it for set value or a favourable board.

Re: 88 vs 2 limpers 3 calls
I doubt I fold the flop for one bet. Matter of fact I think raising is slightly better as we can get hands like K9-J, A9, AT to fold when they would be close to correct to call our raise if they had...

Re: 99 awkward river
Bet. If you were ahead on turn, the only thing you are losing to is KQ and AQ. Is this bad logic?
FWIW next time river a 7.

Re: blind defense with 33
I don't care now if villian 'knows' I have any hand. I want to win the pot now rather than face a tough decision on the end.
There are not too many river cards that I am going to be happy about...

Re: blind defense with 33
I think we need to bet this turn don't we?
I think villian will check behind the turn for a free card too often. Problem is I hate getting raised as much as I hate giving the free card. The only...

Re: Inducing bluffs
Here is an example from last nights session.
Had I bet the river, he would have folded. I felt safe that he didn't have a Q or would have been checkraised on the turn or the flop.
PokerStars...

Re: KK runs into an A (shorthanded)
If they call with any part of the board it's an easy bet. The only thing you may have to worry about is that Ace may have 2 paird someone (is anyone really calling a naked ace to the river?) I think...

Re: Inducing bluffs
But my point here is that, in this example, you win exactly 0 more bets by betting the turn because villian folds. My aggression is SO high on the turn and river (2.47/2.41) and it got me to...

Inducing bluffs
How big a part does it play in your games, and how much do you think it contributes to your winrate?

Re: QQ troubles vs a tilter and a LAG
Yes, but as played, I 3 bang it.
I prefer leading but I don't think it gives us any better advantage except that perhaps the CO stacks off and gets the btn out of the hand.

Re: K6s river problems
If villian never folds an A or a better K then I agree betting the river is not an option.
And I need to remove 99 from my original reply.

You say that the worst you have seen him pump with with a draw is TP. The flush draw got there. Jh8h got there if he would pump the FD and the oesd. He could already have the QJ straight and if he...

Re: K6s river problems
I like b/f. Villian will call with all pp 88-QQ as well you may be able to get her to fold a better K or even an A if she put you on a flush draw. If she was a really poor player, she could have 9x...

I would treat this hand as a HU battle vs the btn. I am taking this hand to showdown. You said that you think the btn can handread. What does he take you to have? Does he think he can get you to...
