Re: PS $3/rebuy - trouble with AJ
Calling pre is fine.
AJo sucks and we are OOP, so why build a bigger pot. Also, I hate min-raises .. against unknowns I always like to call first and see what kind of players they are - the ones...

Re: 5.5 deep tourney TT facing a big bet oop
You can't be serious!?
You do know that 60-70% of the time there will be face card on the flop? That's the exact reason why re-rerasing PF is the way to go .. you can't call PF and fold on 70% of...

Re: 5.5 deep tourney TT facing a big bet oop
Folding is out of the question. Calling is meh because half the deck scares you. Raising is kind of strange because you are committed anyway against a villain with a 19xBB stack.
That leaves us...

Re: $3+R 25k - line check
Looks fine. I can't see him with a better 4 and if he limps KK PF, more power to him. I'm never folding trips on such a board.

Re: ***Official MTTc [censored] December Thread***
I hate those [censored] donkaments. I've come so close to a FT in a +1000 entrants tournament and get sucked out every time. 17 left out of 1357 in the 20k guaranteed ... pot was for a top 5 stack .....

Re: A8o BvB FTP $33
PF and flop are fine. On the turn it looks like you are beat because villain called all the way and isn't scared by the ace. Seems like 2 pair.
Anyway, having invested so much in the pot in a BvB...

Re: Late tourney hand, 88 call or fold
[ QUOTE ]
I would say 50/50 you're flipping or dominated. Fold imo.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is terrible advise. Just put villain on a range and do the math. Getting 1.7:1 on the call and with those...

Re: PokerStars $55 late with AQo
This hand looks pretty standard.
Your shove is fine - it's the only way to play AQo in this spot with those stacks.
Once you shove, villain is getting 1.58:1 on the call, so he only needs to be...

Re: $100 tournament
I don't know about open-shoving 55 from MP with 15 BBs. I fold this.
As played I think the shove is fine. You got one of the best flops you could hope for once you call with 55 PF and you may even...

Concentrating and reading hands while playing
I consider myself a pretty good poker player at the lower limits. I know the basics. I've read multiple books, watched tons of pxf vids, read and post on a regular basis on 2+2. Yet something is...

$3R - KQo on the button
God I hate those [censored] spots in low limit donkaments. Everytime I fold, I get shown junk and everytime I call I'm up against a monster. Once again I'm getting over 2:1 on the call and don't know...

Re: Trying Hubbles...
You can limp or fold JTo here. The thing with limping is that you have to be careful. It's pretty easy to flop the second best hand. But once you hit 2 pair or a straight on a AKQ board, chances are...

Re: 88 in SB.... squueze?
Calling is fine here. Usually I'm looking for a stack of 10x the raise amount (with both, my stack and villain's stack) to get the odds to play for a set.
Both villains have a stack lower than 7000,...

Re: Trying Hubbles...
Basically all that levAA said.
PF is fine as we are pretty deep and have position (somtimes I call, sometimes I fold).
Flop and turn are also fine because we have a strong hand and want to get...
