Re: $10 27 player -- misplayed monster draw?

Thanks for the feedback guys, I was unsure of the optimal way to play this hand (I check raised x3 and called his shove; even though I won the hand felt like I played it wrong.)

$10 27 player -- misplayed monster draw?

Not sure if this should got to STT or here; 27 player $10 SnG.

I don't use any poker tools yet (SnG wizard, etc.)

BB hasn't played a hand yet on the final table; MP1 has suffered some big...

Re: 2 KQ hands $5 Tourny

Hand 1: Fold (i.e. don't call or re-raise.)

Hand 2: Fold pre flop.
As played, check flop fold turn. You have nothing here

KQ is easily dominated; if it folds to you in CO or Button, or BvB,...

3 AQo hands for Sunday Million Satellite

I don't have the HH handy, it's on my home PC. But I've been pondering these hands and I'm wondering if I'm being far too tight.
It's a FPP satellite for Sunday Millions, 12 'pay', 34 get their...

Re: Just a question about losing streaks.

I can't even remember all the bad beats I've taken lately, but here's a small sample:

Nut flush on the flop (ATs ver 66), 66 hits the 8c on the river for a straight flush.
QQ v 33, hit Q on the...

Re: $5.50 - Level 3 - QJo vs Small Stack

I fold PF.
The SB will probably push here and I'm not willing to call half my stack with QJ (although the SB range is probably quite large -- any A, K or Q + pp. In my experience limpers (the CO...

Re: 2 Hands from $5.50 -- Weak tight?

Thanks, JayTee.
I thought I had played the hands incorrectly, i.e., not aggressively enough. The bad beats happen, so I'm not concerned with that ... I'm just worried that in some cases I'm not...

Re: 2 Hands from $5.50 -- Weak tight?

To finish this off, the first hand went check turn, check river. J came on the river giving him a straight, he held Q10.
The big mistake in this hand, which was the big mistake for the entire SnG...

Re: 2 Hands from $5.50 -- Weak tight?

Thanks for the feedback and replies.

On hand one with no other players in the pot it looked like a blind steal, although in hindsight 30B are not worth stealing yet ... so yes, fold PF looks to...

2 Hands from $5.50 -- Weak tight?

This is from an 18 player $5.50 SNG at PokerStarts; I posted in STT since it doesn't seem to fit for a MTT.

This is the first time I've posted a HH. I'm a beginning player who is starting to...

Re: Online Bankroll question: Consistency and Advice

I play the $5.50 18 player SnGs at Poker, with a sprinkle of .05/.10 ring games. The dynamic of cash games is different than SnGs as you probably already know.

I first started playing last winter,...

Re: $5 tourney K10 tough spots

(I'm a new poster and player, but trying to improve. I play $5 SnGs almost exclusively.)

This is a tough spot. At this level top pair is way over valued by many players. He could well have Kx...

Re: Dealing w/ huge PF raises in an unraised pot (and other SNG weirdn

This usually happens when the blinds are 20 or 30 (starting stack is 1500) and less frequently once the blinds hit 50. Often it's difficult to find out what they are raising with -- those that do...

Dealing w/ huge PF raises in an unraised pot (and other SNG weirdness)

I'm a newbie-ish poker player (started playing for cash last winter, quit after going on massive tilt, now I'm back to try again.) I primarily play $5 and $10 18 player SnGs NL Hold'em. I'm doing ok,...
