Re: 100NL - QQ overpair facing huge aggression

Thanks for your comments guys. If anyone's interested he turned over TT no hearts. I hit another heart on the turn and a Q on the river.

Re: 100NL - QQ overpair facing huge aggression

Does everyone agree here that this is a standard call? I just can't see him raising anything we can beat except AhJx but then he has the nut draw as well.

Re: 100NL - QQ overpair facing huge aggression

Is this an easy call? What hands do you put villain on? Nut flush draw? Protecting a set? JT?

Even though I have a draw it might not be good and I'm not being offered good odds.

Re: 100NL - QQ overpair facing huge aggression

Sorry guys! Honestly I didn't change the HH. The convertor screwed up...there's always some problems with the Poker room skins. Here's the correct HH.

In hand 1 villain 4bet and his range crushes us

Its true that his range could be crushing us. However, you gave the same advice to 4-bet with AK if it was the other way...

Re: How to play AK preflop?

No-one? The reason I'm interested is that in certain situations like these I don't know what to do. I've seen people berated for calling with AK but can I lay them down preflop easily? Esp in a ring...

How to play AK preflop?

I thought it would be interesting to talk about some situations in which you get AK but face agression. I have read about on the forums and the general consensus to me, seems to be raise no matter...

Re: Tricky spot played badly. Better lines?

Preflop I would fold but not that bad.

I would fold to the reraise for definite. You really can't be beating much here esp since Villain raised from MP pf as well.

River is a push.

Re: I\'m deep, hit bottom set...and am thinking of folding?!??!?

Given that you have been pushing him around, he probs trying to buy the pot.

If he has hit top set and knows you've reraised surely he would just flat call knowing you'll fire out again on the...

Re: NL50 - TPGK facing aggression

I guess the problem playing this style is that when people play back at you, and you have a half decent holding its a tough decision.

If he held a monster and knows I keep c-betting he could just...

Re: NL50 - set on a 3-flush board

I only reraised because he has been playing very LAG and raising a large percentage of hands.

Re: NL50 - fire 3rd barrel?

Is the turn bet fine? I guess I should just check then cos no reads but it really seems he's on a weak Ace or diamond draw?

Re: NL50 - TPGK facing aggression

I didn't realise this was such an easy fold. I have been aggressive so I thought he may have thought I was cont. betting.

NL50 - fire 3rd barrel?

Re: NL5 SH: shaky overpair vs. river shove

I'd also bet more on the turn. I wouldn't be surprised if he called PF with A3 or sth and rivered trips on you. I guess it could also be a busted draw or top pair.

I guess this is very read...
