Re: Bodog Regulars..
[ QUOTE ]
God I miss Bodog from 6-8 months ago. All games up to NL200 were insanely soft - I used to play NL100 everywhere else but at Bodog I sat at NL200. Now all tables are filled with the same...

Maybe this villain hit a stretch of good cards and is really a 40/.5. Why do you assume (unless you know the hands he's played) that he's really looser, not tighter, than 2?

Re: Folded AK to raise PF (Standard??)
The fact that you he is a 40 just means that you have less fold equity, which makes 3betting AK less profitable. I have no idea how villains play at 25NL...do villains really stack off with JJQQKK...

Re: Some NL200 hands
Villain raises 8% of hands, so my rough guess is that he's raising about 4% of hands UTG. This range includes TTJJ and maybe 99 and AJ, so AQs has rather good equity against this range. The more...

Re: Folded AK to raise PF (Standard??)
Does anyone know what his range is? What are the top 2% of hands? I don't feel like working this out, but my guess is that it is limited to AAKKQQAK, and maybe JJ. AK has poor equity against this...

Re: 600 NL flopped set.
Why did you play the turn that way. I usually check/call the turn there, but I know that's pretty weak. I'm not saying your play is wrong, but why did you raise turn?

Re: NL100: blind battle flopped aces up line check
I like the flop check, but I'm not sure about what to do on the river. Villain is passive...do you really think he's bluffing here? This really looks like AJAQAK to me. River agg factor would help...

Re: NL 100: AKo Squeeze
You're a 43% dog to QQ (6/12 chance) a 70% dog to KK (3/12) and a 92% dog to AA (3/12)>>>> ~33% equity! Assuming you have 0 FE and get one caller, you have to pay $66 into a (70+70+13)=153 pot...

Re: NL 100: AKo Squeeze
Your pot equity is about 33% and your pot odds are 42% if his range is QQKKAA. It seems -EV to shove given that you have no fold equity. If you include JJ in there, then your equity is about 39% and...

Re: NL 100: AKo Squeeze
Can you please explain to me why this is a good shove if his range is QQ+? You have next to zero FE, almost nothing invested, and poor pot equity. Please explain.

Re: NL 100: AKo Squeeze
What are you defining as the villain's committing 3bet range (this is VERY different from a normal 3bet range) and a villain's 3bet coldcall range and assume he's calling your shove his entire range....

Why are people around here so afraid to generalize their plays. I hate to break it to you, but your decision probably depends on many fewer factors than you think...why can't we start to generalize...

Re: NL 100: AKo Squeeze
When a 70BB player raises to 13BB, there is almost 0% chance he's folding to a shove. If he had 100BB, that chance goes up a lot.
I really think a lot of people around this forum are overly...

Re: NL 100: AKo Squeeze
In my experience, a big COMMITTING 3bet in this spot is AAKKQQAK from the majority of players, AAKK from nits, and 22-AAAKAQAJKQKJ from a small minority of donktards. Occasionally, you will be...

200NL TP weak kicker in the BB
This a very standard hand that every player has multiple times per session. I'm wondering how different people play it.
Effective stacks=$200. Hero is 19/13/2.
Hero has A9 in the BB. 5 to...
